Is the big reveal of School-Live really a spoiler if it's mentioned in most of the plot summaries?
Just saying. |

Midnight Eye Goku Complete Collection: Sub only? That's odd. Wasn't this dubbed previously?
Psybuster Complete Collection: Now this is what I need to buy to replace the lame import one I've had for years, the one that only came with Chinese subs. |

True story. Still confused how so many people managed to be utterly shocked by the reveal that was outright stated months before the show even aired... |

Ah, Psybuster... as one of Geneon USA's infamous "struggled to break triple-digit sales" properties, it gives us hope that virtually any title previously released in R1 can see the light of day again. Except the ones Aniplex was involved with, anyway.

I don't think the review is about spoiler[there being zombies], but rather that the main character is delusional about it. I fully expected shit to go down watching the first episode, I definitely didn't expect shit to have gone down 2 weeks prior.
[Edit]: added spoiler tags. Errinundra. |

I'm still confused how so many people manage to be utterly shocked that not everyone reads all the details about a show before they sample it when it airs. It's even more confusing how, after throwing out a blatant spoiler, they then blame those people who have avoided spoilers up until then for not being spoiled earlier, so it's their own fault somehow that they got spoiled now. |

I know the twist going it, but I still didn't expect what was revealed at the end of the first episode. spoiler[That the school life being portrayed was all in Yuki's head. I was expecting this series to pull a "here's an episode or two of cute girls doing cute things, now here come the zombies out of nowhere!" I did not expect that the zombies were already there and Yuki was just having some severe PTSD. I thought that twist was fantastic. I thought all the vague hints in the first episode were just foreshadowing for when the zombies break out a few episodes later. ] True story. |

It's hard to tell based on the spines alone, but the Ghost in the Shell movie (Anime Cartoon), Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie (Anime Studio), and Akira A.D.2019Neo-Tokyo (Anime Cartoon) DVDs are bootleg. The Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and Rurouni Kenshin movie DVDs lack company logos and look different from official releases I've seen, so they might also be bootleg along with the sets Zalis116 listed. The guide was last updated in 2014, but Otaku News has some helpful info about non-licensed products in The Pirate Anime FAQ.
I notice Night on the Galactic Railroad sandwiched between Harmony and 7th Garden! I have a copy from the same publisher and the anime movie is one of my favorites. I wish Kenji Miyazawa's work and related adaptations were more available in English, so I am glad to see something from him appear every so often. I've yet to read My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness and The Girl from the Other Side. |

1 If Psybuster was that low then where would Heat Guy J be? Double? 2 As I'm more of a "half full empty" kind of guy, Psybuster should make us worry that further license rescues are just going to be the ones that are cheap as dirt. Because if it was easily affordable, it'd be licensed before Psybuster, yes? |

This is the synopsis in the Encyclopedia: "Four girls decide to stay over at school: the energetic Yuki Takeya, the shovel-loving Kurumi, the center of the group Yūri who brings everyone together, and the spacey school adviser Megu. However, through mysterious circumstances, the girls find themselves the final survivors in a zombie attack, and continue to live at the school." There's nothing there that gives away the first episode plot twist to anyone who read only that before watching it. The four reviewers in the Preview Guide also somehow managed to review the first episode without saying more than there's big twist at the end. I was lucky enough to have gone into the episode completely unaware, and so was delightfully blindsided by the twist (after having fallen asleep in the middle of the episode. Also, my comment was a generalization of attitudes I've seen about several series where people just assume that everyone is up to date on all the pre-air info, and when someone complains about being spoiled by people making that unwarranted assumption, those complaints are brushed off as them being somehow at fault for having avoided being spoiled sooner. See especially Attack on Titan. tl:dr - just stop assuming everyone knows the whole story before they see it because not everyone does. |

Uh, yeah, like I said, it's literally the synopsis. I'm very careful about spoilers, personally. I felt like you were somewhat attacking me as if I was blaming people for not spoiling themselves. I'm not. I guess reading "zombie" in the synopsis and then skimming some previews mentioning a "twist" to me means there will probably be a "twist" regarding "zombies" at some point in the first episode. I dunno, just kinda... makes sense, ya know? As for the exact spoilers regarding the twist, like Razor/Edge and killjoy_the mentioned, being what surprised them, that makes more sense to me. But I guess knowing there was going to be a zombies twist at some point totally destroyed any tension that could've had for me, and it didn't even resonate with me as a twist when it happened. |

This unusual series combines dark comedy and war drama to shockingly entertaining effect. Nick Creamer delves into Tanya's cynical world.
