Shit rates are shit, but I don't want to go through the hassle of re-rolling. Mostly here for the story, so when those missions start being impossible I'll consider my options. Until then I'll let my level 50 Ruler friends carry most of the weight.
Honestly I do find the gameplay to be pretty dull. |

"There's no real customization options for your servants, so if your favorite happens to be a common 1-star, there's no way to baby them into becoming a late-game powerhouse."
This is not really true, but they'd never be as strong as nature 5 star they can be quite formidable. Most would agree game play is the weakest part of the game, but it's all about waifu and story, which is already 200% as good compare to most mobage (which is just waifu) |

This game is probably the only mobile game that I've bothered to read the story, so that's a big plus.
Also I can see why some were disappointed that Saber Lily was the one they gave you for the master recruitment campaign. Until I leveled her up a bit recently, I had a 1 star which had better stats than her. I already heard you should save the Saint Quartz, which I presumed was for the event rolls. Can't wait for those to start, as I found out my favorites (they are popular on Pixiv) were all event exclusive. Come on Okita Souji and Ishtar! - though those are far from the only ones. Edit: Another thing I like is how the AP overcharges when leveling up instead of losing any extra AP you have when you level up. |

But he doesn't exist (yet, maybe, assuming the new swimsuit event adds dudes after all). The real gameplay strategy is to spam high level EXP quests the moment you can until you've amassed 300 AP or so and then coast through the story in a single rush. If you do free quests too quickly you'll actually have to time when you do EXP quests lest you run out of AP. also whassup my homies |

Sounds like this game has the same exact flaw as FF Brave Exvius: unfair summon rates for higher star units.
Is Thomas Edison a lion? I am...completely okay with this. :D |

I really wish I could get into this, but the presence of all the usual irritating, life-draining, stupid as hell free 2 play nonsense saps any excitement I might have had. The story apparently being the best part is just a stinging reminder that we never get the actual visual novels.

Or you have read In Flight... I find all the comparisons to FE:H interesting, while ignoring all the other Otaku/Waifu games out there. Like SAO:MD, FF:BE, KH:UX... |

Well, the review looks pretty neat, safe for a couple of things that aren't exactly right.
Someone else mentioned it above, but servants can be upgraded to almost 5 star quality, I won't spoil how, but the option is there, or will be. The second is that the article mentions the game isn't complex... well, that's pretty much wrong from my experience; while things are very simple at first, players will reach a point when they'll have to think hard how to beat certain quests. While I agree that FE:H has a relatively complex battle system from the get-go, Fate/GO's battle system increases its complexity at a steady pace, and it takes into account the level of the master, servants, their skills, the number of servants in a player's possession, and how they can be combined. There's a point in which the game gets insanely hard, one needs to look up walkthroughs on how to get past a certain quest, but not all walkthroughs work for everyone, for not all the players will have the same servants with the same skill levels, and at a high enough master level, and let us not forget the Craft Essences...those become core to your safety. Fortunately, there's the extra servant from a friend master, and there are two servants that will save your arses more often than you'd think: Waver, and later on, spoiler[Merlin]. It's very likely most of the players wouldn't be able to clear certain quests if those two servants weren't in the game, I'm almost certain, they're the broken characters in Fate/GO. Summing up, the game has a long and steady learning and difficulty curve, though it sometimes jumps skyhigh... spoiler[I'm looking at you, Prison Tower, Electronic Sea, Rashoumon] Then, there's something I might've skipped in the jp version, but when was ORT ever mentioned? I don't remember the spoiler[Type-Mercury] ever being mentioned in the story or events in F/GO, can someone clear this one up for me? As for Primate Murder... I won't say a thing. |
