Sony is already talking about how they are working on the next iteration of PSVR, which sort of sounds like they aren't encouraged by the mixed reviews. Aside from devs still trying to figure out how to make games that will really sell VR, I think the biggest thing holding it back is the limited opportunities to try before you buy. I keep reading about how impressive it is, but right now I'd have to spend hundreds of dollars to see for myself.
A friend of mine lives in a town where Sony brought headsets as part of a bigger marketing event for a day, but apparently you had to get a token earlier in the day to get access, so he and a lot of the other attendees were allowed to try it. I can see them wanting to limit people's time to make sure everyone gets a turn, but it sounded like the demonstration went unused for a good chunk of the day. |

So a few months ago I finally scored a copy of Rez. I got it home and remembered, disappointingly, that my PS2 is no longer able to play colored discs. Hemmed and hawed over trying to fix the laser. Finally found a PS2 Slim at a garage sale for $15. Sold. Played some Rez. Got caught up in other games and kinda forgot about it. ...and now find out there's a remake...
...Ok, take my money. As for the VR, I actually bought a Kinect pretty much exclusively for Child of Eden. It was definitely the best way to experience that game, but I never used the Kinect again. So its kind of ironic that I'll probably be faced with the same situation regarding Rez Infinite. Pretty sure VR will make me sick as a dog though. It took me 6 months or so to stop getting motion sick just from the PS3 at 1080i. |

Are people actually surprised by the fate of Digital Homicide? You don't run your business by intimidating customers and reviewers when they say that your product isn't worth a dime. Good riddance.

If the consoles got a bit less anal (pun intended) about allowing porn, this problem would solve itself Meanwhile on the PC we already have heavy hitters like Illusion supporting VR in Honey Select for example. |

It'll be interesting to see if Torracat will remain a quadruped when it reaches its final evolution... All the other final-evolution Pokémon in the preceding six generations were bipedal, except, perhaps, Typhlosion, who can stand on all fours, but prefers being a biped.

Here's the secret, outside of simulator (driving, spaceship, walking) there is no way to make game that will sell VR. |

That NES plug-and-play looks great. I'm definitely reserving one once Amazon makes it available for preorders.

RIght now a variety of Sims to be the best option for VR. Everyone seems to be raving about the experience on Eve Online.
But what would be even better is the dungeon crawler or an RPG. Imagine walking through a dungeon and fighting monsters in VR, that would be great, and give you an immersive experience. |

VR is still in proof of concept stage right now. Arkham VR is a perfect example. A demo of what the tech could do with baby steps.
Now a full VR remake of Arkham Asylum? Swinging around, punching baddies, and saying "I'm Batman!"? That is way too ambitious for what they're doing now. |

I assume that's something considerably different from the likes of Rapelay or Biko
Not to mention it'd be super redundant with the Asylum remaster being a thing.
Sure if you could get past the likely eyestrain, headaches, & motion sickness. |

Paper Mario: Color Splash: I hope people end up liking Color Splash more than disliking it. Otherwise, the Paper Mario developer hate topics are going to shoot up to unheard of levels. Maybe...
Well that was mildly disturbing. XD |

I'm glad Digital Homicide is gone, I mean suing people for having an opinion on your game? Not even the corporate tyranny in the AAA industry does that. Even EA and Konami have better standards than them.
As for PSVR, talk about a disappointment, it has not delivered in exclusives, it's nothing but experiences and some afterthoughts in games that's will be playable without VR. Also, it's a health hazard on top of that that's way worse than the Virtual Boy, the Virtual Boy only gave you eye strain and a bad headache but I hear the PSVR may cause vomiting and brain damage, uh no, it makes me never want to touch the thing. |

In many anime, you'll find the same Japanese voice actor playing multiple roles - why is that? Justin gets into it.
