Weird that Fairy Tail never got a console game because atlest in the old days it used to be way more popular than Nanatsu No Taizai is now.
There was handheld Fairy Tail games yea but non on the big consoles. |

Fairy tail was never... and I mean ever more popular than what Nanatsu has ever been. Nanatsu is selling around 500 to 600k for each volume (and it used to sell around 800k before) not to mention that the merchandise sale completely out sells fairy tail in every single way, and the difference of popularity between he two anime adaptation is not even funny (getting more than 6.3 average household rating on Nanatsu's last episode). if what you meant to say that it used to be more popular in the west (mainly US) then maybe yeah. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And i just bought a PS4 last week for Gundam Versus, and I was a little skeptical that I spent that much money of my savings on a console but now I'm sure I made the right choice ! really excited for this !! |

I really would like to see some exact statistics comparing the sales of the two series, because Fairy Tail is definitely a popular series and nothing to be snuffed at in terms of sales. I mean you compare the anime adaptations, but Nanatsu only ran for 24 (with another 4 episode season being released later) episodes while there have been 277 episodes of the Fairy Tail anime released so far, so again, what does that suggest since only one of them became a long running anime. Edit: I mean Fairy Tail has some massive sales numbers overall, I don't know if Nanatsu has reached 60 million worldwide. Everything I've found on Nanatsu says it has only has reached 20 million worldwide: Example 1: animenewsnetwork.com/news/2017-02-21/fairy-tail-manga-is-already-in-last-arc-60-million-copies-in-print/.112535 Example 2: https://en.wikipedia.org/ |

I mean you talk about how I compare a long running anime to a short one then you compare a 63 volume manga to a 26 one... Also, this just supports my point tbh, since most of the time long running anime have a much much better chance at having higher TV rating than short running ones no matter how lower the quality is.... here's the link for the tv rating: animenewsnetwork.com/news/2015-04-08/japan-animation-tv-ranking-march-23-29/.86916 Also, I never said Fairy Tail is not popular.. fairy tail is very popular ! I'm completely aware of that. But to say that it is more popular or even worse literally saying "way more popular than Nanatsu No Taizai " is honestly just ignorant. |

I just take issue with this statement from you "Fairy tail was never... and I mean ever more popular than what Nanatsu has ever been. " which you said without anything to back it up. I love both series, but everything I've seen suggests otherwise about Fairy Tail apparently "never" reaching the same popularity. I've provided evidence that Fairy Tail stands as a higher selling series overall, but you haven't provided anything proving that Nanatsu consistently outsells Fairy Tail, so until you do I'll take what you said with a grain of salt. |

without anything to back it up ?? all what I said above and that is nothing ?? So you want me to give it to you in details with links where if you're barely keeping up with anime news and rankings on a bi-weekly basis you could clearly see it ? you know what... okay i'll do it: animenewsnetwork.com/news/2015-02-11/japanese-comic-ranking-february-2-8/.84333 Fairy Tail vol 47 ended up dropping from this list after this week with selling "398,604" copies at the end while Nanatsu vol 11 sold "755,978" as of that week and it stayed for the next week after that. animenewsnetwork.com/news/2015-06-06/manga-with-biggest-1st-printings-from-kodansha-shogakukan-shueisha-2014-2015/.88955 here's the manga with the biggest first print from Kondansha Nanatsu at 800 thousand Fairy tail at 600 thousand (also keep in mind that most fairy tail volumes don't end up selling all their first prints while all the volumes before vol 15 of Nanatsu have had second and third reprints: where the volumes have sold more than 800k with volume 1 selling "927,405" copies before dropping from the weekly lists animenewsnetwork.com/news/2015-02-25/japanese-comic-ranking-february-16-22/.85394 ) The highest selling year for Fairy Tail is 2010 where it had a huge boost selling "5,739,526" copies with 7 volumes in total released that year animenewsnetwork.com/news/2010-11-30/top-selling-manga-in-japan-by-series/2010 while Nanatsu no Taizai's highest selling year had "10,304,112" sold... animenewsnetwork.com/news/2015-11-29/top-selling-manga-in-japan-by-series-2015/.95913 and even if we don't take the highest selling year for nanatsu, at 2016 it sold "5,115,573" with 6 volumes released in total and Fairy tail have sold "2,719,478" copies for 7 volumes in total that year. animenewsnetwork.com/news/2016-11-30/top-selling-manga-in-japan-by-series-2016/.109352 and to finish that here's the most selling media franchise (which involves manga, novels, music, home video and other sales) in Japan for 2015, with Nanatsu selling "5,791,369,089" units and Fairy tail selling "2,159,579,608" units animenewsnetwork.com/news/2015-12-29/top-selling-media-franchises-in-japan-2015/.97051 it took A LOT of time to get those links. I hope that helped my friend. |

Here in the west Fairy Tail used to be the 4th most popular anime and manga after One Piece, Naruto and Bleach and in Japan it was and still is a very popular series. I dont know how the sales are like but Fairy Tail used to get way more attention among anime and manga fans when it was a popular series than Nanatsu No Taizai is getting now. Fairy Tail still get way more attention than Nanatsu No Taizai actually even though its not as popular as it used to be unfortunatelly. |

I completely agree with everything you said. but that only applies to the west. In Japan (and I'm only talking about Japan here) Nanatsu is much more popular. |
