I recognize that Natsume is a well done show, but it still surprises me that it ended as number one on the cumulative. I am aware that the use of the word objective is frown upon, but to me Attack on Titan season 2 is objectively a better anime than Natusme 6 is every aspect.
And congratulations on Tsuki ga Kirei for coming all the way from the middle of the cumulative to all the way to number five. It is a good show, and I am happy that the fans appreciate it. |

Will check out the light novels of Clockwork Planet and hope it's better.
A bit surprised Granblue got so low of a ranking. Well, okay, it was a somewhat unfinished story so might have benefited from a longer adaptation... |

Well most of the people still watching Natsume six seasons in are fans of the series, and aside from a couple episodes this season, consistently rate it highly. Titan has a broader audience which naturally have a broader range of opinions on the show. Natsume nearly got the cumulative first place in its last season, only beaten by ending on a relatively modestly rated episode while Haikyuu 3 knocked it out of the park in its last three episodes, including the highest rated episode on this site so far (its 9th episode was at 4.9 for a week or so).
It did end on a fanservice episode which apparently some didn't find agreeable. Considering the finale counts double, it really hit its ranking. |

^While I don't play the game, I did actually like the episode in question. Though I am in the target audience for such a thing.

I enjoyed Granblue Fantasy well enough but as someone who hasn't played the game, the final two episodes left me a bit irritated. First, a whole bunch of random new characters got introduced for no apparent reason and while getting to know the female protagonist had its charms, i'd have appreciated a bit more of an equal opportunity fanservice...but well, i rated those episodes only slightly lower than the rest, so i'm not (entirely) to blame.
As for the cumulative season ratings, i'm fine with the top 5, though Tsuki ga Kirei wouldn't be there if i had to choose...also, i'm surprised KADO almost made the top 10, but i guess it got pretty high ratings before it turned into a magical girl battle anime. |

Natsume also has a tiny audience in comparison, I imagine. I don't actually know, maybe it's the second most watched show of the season, but I know a total of 1 person who watched the most recent season of Natsume. Even "niche" things like Tsukigakirei got significantly more discussion than Natsume has. I guess it just has that very dedicated fanbase that is entirely in love with what it brings to the table. |

Tbf, Auguste is a hub for skyfarers. The new characters not appearing when there was a danger to the island itself, would have been weirder. And as i mentioned, EP13 was rated so low because the New MC + the title "Extra" wasn't enough for them to know that it was an OVA of sorts. Can't say i blame those people tho. The ep did come right after the finalle. Last edited by AksaraKishou on Thu Jul 06, 2017 8:04 pm; edited 1 time in total |

I'm glad Natsume is still good after this long. I still haven't started on the 4th season but knowing it doesn't seem to get bad at any point is an extra incentive to keep going.
Other than that, Tsuki ga Kirei, then Eccentric Family then Attack on Titan is pretty much how I'd rate the season, which is coincidentally how the episodic ranking ended as. Given how much I hear about Berserk 2, I'm somewhat surprised it ain't lower. |

Yes.
You need to get on that. ^_~ Very happy to see Natsume at the top though I, too, am surprised it got ranked #1. Natsume does very well in Japan too, even after all these years. The fact that it has 6 seasons, sometimes separated by years, despite being one cour each time is proof of its resilience. While its video sales may not knock things out of the ballpark, I think they consistently sell fairly well. We'll not talk about how much money I've spent on this series. |

Too bad two great shows this season can not be included in this analysis. Little Witch Academia is obviously one of those shows. The other surprise was ID-0, all CG anime with original scifi story. It really impressed me and ended strong. It will eventually drop on Netflix and I hope it will do well.
