I can totally see why a lot of people didn't enjoy this anime, but I absolutely loved it! Flaws and all! The English dub was spot on and part 2 of this series had some great twists. The story is pretty generic, but it's still enjoyable to me.
Every anime has people who like it and dislike it, Endride just has a lot more people that dislike it Thanks for the review, I totally respect your opinion, although I disagree with it. |

... and here I stopped reading. "Geologist", yes, "mineralologist", fine if a made up word, "meteorologist"- the "science" of weather for a meteor connection which are rocks- or even paleontologist- which includes study of fossilized bone remnants though most people would be interested in the creatures they were than the rocks they became. An archaeologist is more a socialistic field of study having to do with the remains of ancient human history and doesn't always have to be dug up. In short... is Shun an idiot? |

I don't know why, but somehow it makes me happy to hear that someone liked it. I guess I feel bad to think all that effort was a total wash, even though I couldn't bring myself to keep watching once I realized it was 2-cour and a mere 12 episode slog wasn't going to be enough to see the end of it. |

I'm completely aware of the many flaws in this show and can understand the bad reviews, but i enjoyed it nonetheless. It happens once in a while... |

Count me as one of those who actually enjoyed this series. Sure, it was no masterpiece but it was far from being the disaster many made it out to be. I enjoyed a lot the old school feel of it and I thought the second half got really interesting.

So here's the question, then, for those who have seen the whole thing:
Does the second half improve enough that someone who thought the first half was trash would actually find it tolerable? |

No. There's about two good episodes in the entire series - small flashback arc. That is all, rest is garbage. |

I guess that can only really be answered by someone who actually considered the first half trash and still watched the second half, so not me...but well, if you really considered the first half trash and not kinda-trashy-but-still-enjoyable, i seriously doubt the second half would change your mind. |

Probably not. I found the whole thing decent enough to watch each week, but I'm not looking to make a purchase anytime soon. Maybe if a SAVE version comes along, but Endride landed squarely as a "watch once" title for me. |

I remember watching one... maybe two episodes of this when it aired and all I can recall from the show itself is one scene of Dude A having just received his magical weapon and Dude B telling him he should put it away, then spending like three minutes scolding him for being a n00b and not knowing how to put his weapon away. Then when Dude A finally manages to put it away, they are immediately attacked by a villain and now Dude A can't pull his weapon out

While I wasn't looking forward to this title, I was somewhat interested. I loved the series Sacred Seven, in all its trash glory, which is another show about...rocks. So I watched episode one of this in the hopes it'd grab me the same way and..it didn't really. About all I remember as positive was the weapon the evil dude had was pretty cool looking, and he was voiced by Akio Ohtsuka.
I think my interest probably completely dropped when the dragon appeared, because that made me realise this is completely a by-the-numbers mobage adaptation. I'm so sick of the obligatory cute mascots, man...... |

It does have a pretty good twist near the end actually. It wasn't one I was expecting the show to go with since everything else prior is predictable stock JRPG nonsense. Again, I only really watched this for the beastfolk (who at least delivered on that front). I was expecting Ibelda (the lion beastman) to be voiced by George C. Cole in the dub, but maybe the studio figured that since One-Punch Man's dub already pulled that reference with Beast King, they didn't want to go with it. |
