Description:
The Graphic Designer creates products, sales pieces, advertisements, and other items that require the use of design skills as directed by management
Supervision:
The Graphic Designer is directly under the Graphics Department Manager, but also receives some direction from other Department Directors and the CEO.
Primary Duties:
-Design items for print. These items include but are not limited to: T-shirts, posters, gift items, decals, and framed art
-Create mockups of items and products to be put on our websites for sale
-Creation of clean, strong sales pieces, such as flyers, catalogs, and advertisements for print and web
Secondary Duties:
-Photography of new products for sales purposes, along with the photography of art for archival purposes
-Clean up pieces of art for reproduction
Tertiary Duties:
-Printing
-Scanning
-Special projects as assigned by management
Technical Skills:
-Proficient skill with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat
-Some photography experience
Other Skills:
-The ability to work with others on a project
-An attitude willing to take critique and adjust as necessary
-Flexibility
-Ability to listen to directions and follow guidelines for projects
-Focused and organized when designing so as to get projects done in a timely fashion
Work Hours:
-Department is open 8:00 AM - 5PM, Monday - Friday
-Full time and part time positions are available
-timeliness and punctuality are essential
