TYPE-MOON announced at the "FGO Fuyu Matsuri 2016-2017 ~da Vinci-chan Code~" event on Saturday that its Fate/Grand Order smartphone role-playing game is getting a virtual-reality project for the PlayStation VR titled Fate/Grand Order VR feat. Mash Kyrielight.
The "Fate VR drama" project will launch this year. The project will allow players to enter the world of Fate/Grand Order and meet with the Servant Mash Kyrielight. The project will be playable for attendees of the AnimeJapan 2017 event in March.
The original smartphone game inspired the 74-minute Fate/Grand Order: First Order television anime special that aired in Japan on December 31. Crunchyroll and Daisuki are both streaming the special.
The original game has been downloaded over 7 million times since it launched on Android and iOS devices in summer 2015.
