Garbage though it is, how could AKB0048 which is literally about idols fighting with the power of music not make the list?

and no beck, though to be sincere the only two reasons beck is so high on my list are because it's rock music and because it ahs the asme plot as holyland.

Macross is a totally obvious choice, and RahXephon definitely has the musical theme down more than anything, especially with spoiler[the principle of "tuning the world"]. What I'm especially happy about is that Violinist of Hameln got a second mention for The List.
A bit related here, but I bet if Eternal Sonata had had an anime tie-in, it would be a very good contender for this list since everyone in Chopin's dream is named after an instrument or a type of musical term. Not to mention the fact the main character is one of the great classical composers. |

So, this's about the fighting/scifi "power" of music, and that's why Nodame Cantabile wasn't on the list, for being the entire center of the characters' worlds?
I mean, most of us kinda thought... |

Oh yes, for a start that performance of Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 just knocks everything else before or since into a cocked hat. Sorry Hibike Euphonium, nothing you've done compares to that. |

The only show I am famiiar with is RahXephon back during the time in my undergraduate years(4-6 years ago) that aired on television.
Symphogear looks interesting; including macross, so maybe I might take a look at those during my winter break. Okay, for the accessory part: Beside having a mini flashlight attach to my keys, I also have a Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children little plaque with a wolf on it(bonus points if you know who the "wolf" is). The other thing I have attach to my keys is a naruto shuriken throwing star(not an actual weapon; but small enough to fit the palm of my hands) |

@EricJ2 & Dop L.
Nodame Cantabile is likely not on the list because it hasn't been issued in North America. Further all the shows listed had music used for some purpose beyond the normal. No matter how powerful, music is not normally used to stop wars or raise the dead. You will noted that Hibike Euphonium is not on the list either. |

La Corda d'Oro is a major miss for this article, though it's not about the power of fighting but the power of music to heal, with a magical music fairy involved and everything. The World is Still Beautiful is another. I guess the list isn't shoujo-focused.

Shouldn't character songs be included in the merchandise poll?

Rainy Cocoa Sub.DVD

Rainy Cocoa is about an hour's worth of cute and not much else. Rebecca breaks down this bite-sized oddity.
