The profession of private detective fell out of favor long ago, and yet, that's how Shinjurou Yuuki identifies himself. With his superior deductive powers, Shinjurou solves various challenging cases. However, his rival, Rinroku Kaishou, gets all the credit . Through politics and industry connections, Kaishou has the communications infrastructure under his control. He uses the massive amount of information at his fingertips to lead police to the conclusions he draws. But Kaishou's dark secret is that Shinjurou Yuuki, "the Last Great Detective", is the one who actually uncovers "the truth."
