Isn't it a bit unfair to put both Josukes together?

I think Utena's student council is a bit too high on the list because even though they're a force to be reckoned with they aren't really a threat to anyone else outside the council (and Utena). Hibari's squad should be higher since I remember actual violent tendencies to get people back in line (it's been years I could be wrong).
Anyway, I like this list! Kill la Kill's definitely deserves first place lol. |

I think it is hard to dispute putting this one being put at #1. I can't think of too many other student councils that actually have the power to administer summary capital punishment -- and actually does within the first 3 minutes of episode 1. |

Why aren't there hentai here?
There was this hentai that had a ridiculously buff Kaichou, and it involved forcing the pretty Fuku-Kaichou to collect self made porn from graduating students for the yearbook's secret volume. The main character goes around helping the Fuku to challenge graduating students to make porn if they haven't yet - the ultimate ending of course being he has to challenge the Kaichou for the Fuku's freedom, and his reward being sex with the Fuku. I forgot the title. I think that was a horrible student council. |

The Elite Ten has an odd picture, since the only member of them is Erina. The rest aren't Elite Ten members.

I cannot comment on the list because the only show there that I have seen is Utena, and that was the first season only, at least ten years ago, and I do not remember the student council at all.
But this does give me some information about some show that I am thinking about trying. One student council that I thought of when I saw the article was in Rosario + Vampire. I think that it was Capu 2, but I am not sure of that. I think that they called themselves the Disciplinary Committee. They were a scary bunch of elitist, totalitarian monsters (literally) who ruled the school ruthlessly, but they were really just episode characters. |

The Disciplinary Commitee was in the first season. However, in the manga, we only two of them got action, the spider girl and Kuyo. The Disciplinary Commitee was something like the mafia, and after San/Sun graduated from school, the crushed the Newspaper Club and only Ginei remained. The Commitee somehow disappeared after Tsukune defeated Kuyo, though he comes back as one of the seven division leaders of Fairy Tale. |

Ohtori Academy has the added boon of (sort of) secret head Akio. And, well, creep factor alone is a big reason why I think it got so high. Plus Juri is scary as fudge when pissed off.

#1 should be the Kujibiki Unbalance student council, who have the power to influence governments.

lol, funny list. I was part of the Student Council both in middle and highschool--and it's nowhere remotely even close to being as exciting as anime depicts it to be.

So does the one at Honnouji, whose members also go around conquering neighboring lands with the goal of world domination. |

I figured the Ohtori Academy Student Council would rank high on this list. Nanami can be pretty intimidating when irritated to the extreme.

Considering we only know three of the Elite Ten, the picture has a third of them in it. Its the closest color image there is if memory serves. We need to see the rest of them soon though. Also, definitely not going to disagree with Honnoji's Elite Four. They put all the rest to shame. |

... why frightening student councils? Why not fun student councils?
Like the one in Code Geass... (Oh yeah, because the internet is full of people who think they should all have been killed off in the first episode because they take time away from the fighting. Right.) |

Kuromukuro does its best to resolve its many mysteries in its action-packed second half, but does it succeed? Theron Martin investigates.
