Sadly Konami has given us a form of Metal Gear that is WORST than a Pachinko Machine.

Nice, a co-op shooter Resident Evil! (...Again?)
Or is it a gritty reboot of Left 4 Dead? (... No, it's Metal Gear...) |

They really just stop already. Should have ended the series with number 4.

Kojima probably wanted to stop with the series probably as far back as Metal Gear Solid on the Playstation (the openly trolling nature of MGS2 being the evidence), as a game Phantom Pain was an entertaining experience, as a Metal Gear work? yeah, Phantom Pain is not what one thinks of as a "Metal Gear" experiencespoiler[ though the meta narrative is that you are NOT actually playing as Solid Snake nor biological his father Big Boss, just "awesome soldier man" venom.] |

It's interesting people whined about the idea of Konami sanctioning Metal Gear to nothing but a series of Pachinko games now they announce a spinoff and people are whining....because it's a spinoff.
I wouldn't really call that damning evidence considering how much of a reputation Kojima has for deliberately and unintentionally trolling fans of his games. |

I have zero problems with a non-Kojima MGS but what the hell? A horror themed MGS instead of a Silent Hill reboot, WHAT! This DayZ wannabe is also a sequel to GZ, to make it more pointless...
Trollnami more than earns a bullshit prize here. Jim Sterling Son will have a field day . |

Well people wanted Konami to make more MGS games despite Kojima leaving, which made future MGS games pointless. Guess Konami saw that people like MGS and Silent Hill, and since making two games is a chore, they combined them into one shitty game lmao. I'll still play it probably, can't be less fun than Acid.

Kojima didn't really do anything where Rising was concerned and no one considered it pointless. |

It's funny.
The new Resident Evil is basically the next Silent Hill. The new Metal Gear is basically the next Resident Evil. What even are video games anymore? |

Okay, now I'm 100 million percent sure that the whole PR statement about Konami 'hoping to win us back' was a load of bollocks. I mean, there is absolutely no way that a company who cares about Metal Gear's future would green light this.
You know I was actually a bit worried that Konami might pump out something worthwhile that would make it difficult for me to continue boycotting their awful business practices and abusing of employees. So I'm glad that Konami is making it easy for me by pumping out zombie games and pachinko machines. No way am I buying this generic pile of trash. |

Given that they greenlit both the NES version Of Metal Gear and Snake's Revenge they are capable of doing something like that |

So, are the management actively trying to prove that they want to shut down their game production departments in favor of more pachinko or something?

Queen Emeraldas runs the risk of only appealing to fans of Matsumoto or older manga, but it is worth giving a chance even if neither of those are within your usual purview.
