Kirik the spy/assassin from Beast Player Erin. Started out as a creepy suspicious character that turned on his employers because of Erin's influence. Last edited by Akeema on Sat Jan 23, 2016 11:45 am; edited 1 time in total |

I thought for sure we'd see Folken from The Vision of Escaflowne on this list. The initial description fits him to a T.

Awwww come on! You didn't even mention Shocking Alberto from the Giant Robo OVA. Let alone the fact that his name is Shocking Alberto, he manages to save the day in a very villan-y tsundere way.
If you haven't watched it, it's an outrageous good time in either sub or dub. |

One mistake on Grimmjow. He never killed Lolly and Menoly. He severely wounded them, and then Orihime healed them.

It looks like the ANN software that was used to write the article changed the word "working" into a link to the encyclopedia page for the Working!! anime, in #5.
This is an interesting list. I am not familiar with most of the characters but I do agree that Nephrite fits. He is my favorite Sailor Moon villain. I wish that we could see the numbers for the previous poll. I would like to know how close Haruhi, my choice, was to Sailor Jupiter, my second choice. Why is it that we no longer can view the actual poll results? |

Man, I remember the Nephrite episode. It was great, especially since it was anime original.
I DO remember Grim killing at least one of the twins though. They even made a comment how she's a real monster since she can bring things back from the dead. PS: WHY DON'T THEY JUST USE ORIHIME'S ABILITY TO BRING BACK THE COMMANDER GENERAL BACK?!!!! |

Happy to see Ayaka Steiger mentioned. Her ending up being an ally in the end was a pleasant surprise and I thought the story handled her turnaround very naturally.
Was a little surprised not to see Vegeta mentioned, though. |

Well if I remember correctly, Grimmy severely damages Menoly, and Lolly thinks that she's dead whlie Orihime heals both of them. They each survive and appear later in the series. I think Orihime can't heal the Dead. In the Final Clash Ichigo vs. Ulquiorra , Ulqi killed him and Orihime was unable to close the hole in his chest. Ichigo was saved thanks to his Hollow Transformation. |

I lost all respect and liking for Grimmjow. He got his ass handed to him by Askin in the most sedate, degrading way possible. And he managed to out-Leeroy Leeroy Jenkins himself. =_=

On a similar list for video games, Ghaleon from the Lunar series would be the very epitome of this...

Fairy Tail BD+DVD 20

The beginning of the Tartaros Arc marks a dark shift in tone for the adventures of Natsu and friends. Rebecca reflects on what changes the anime has made to the even grimmer manga version of these events.
