I'm not sure I understand. Is it the comma after complete? Because if it is then that's what the book is called. |

@Alan45
I read the first few chapters many years ago but I didn't keep going because I'm a lazy reader. I've used the name Atreides on another forum because I thought it sounded cool and I decided to reuse it here. But I can read it all the way through if you'd like me to. |

Nah, I wouldn't ask that of anyone not an enthusiast. I read the first book of the series when it came out, but by the time the sequels came out I wasn't interested. The name and the quote sort of jumped out at me is all. I did consider the possibility that you might have been a fan of the movie. However, you had to have read the book to understand that. | ||||||

I like you too
It's okay. I'm just sorry that I didn't reply earlier, I have this unfortunate habit of procrastinating I will certainly enjoy my stay, and I will do my best to catch up on anime and manga titles I've been missing out on. Pretty soon I will be one of those people who won't shut up about completing a marathon-read of One Piece |

@Psycho: Yay, Nutella
@Paul: Enjoy your stay here dear. There are no rules for how fast and how often you have to post. Anime and manga are meant as entertainment and so their forums as well. No need to feel pressured. At least... that's my take on it. If Psycho says otherwise, just ignore him. @影のありません: You just came to say hello? |

Hey, guys. While I'm not new here, I felt my old introduction was kinda garbage. So, here's a questionnaire I found on the Madoka Magica wiki that I filled out. (I tweaked some of it, with some of my knowledge of the Japanese language.) I hope you enjoy..?
1. "Please tell us your name." I'm Akane the Catgirl. My real name is [REDACTED]. 2. "When is your birthday?" May 22, [YEAR REDACTED]. 3. "Your blood type?" I dunno. 4. "Please tell us your three sizes." I don't know the exact numbers. You could say I'm a bit on the rounder side, though... 5. "Tell us about your family composition." It's me, my mom and dad, an older sister, and a younger brother. 6. "What's your occupation?" I'm currently a student at [NAME OF SCHOOL REDACTED]. 7. "Your favorite food?" Sweet pastries. I like mousse cake in particular. 8. "Favorite animal?" I like cats. Cats have good personalities. 9. "Favorite subject?" Um...lunch? If that doesn't count, I guess English or social studies. 10. "Worst subject?" I'm a pretty good student, but I don't really like anything else. 11. "Is there a boy or girl you've been thinking about?" Why can't I have a man like Tamaki Suoh? If not that, why can't I have a woman like Holo the Wise Wolf? 12. "Do you enjoy school?" Not really. 13. "Are you in any school clubs?" Nope. 14. "What's your motto?" I don't have one. Was I supposed to? 15. "Your special skills?" I guess I'm good at writing? Also, I can bake a mean batch of cookies. 16. "Tell us about your prized possession." Do not touch my cell phone. Ever. 17. "Describe yourself in one word." Shy. 18. "What are your strengths?" I try to be as nice as I can. 19. "Your weaknesses?" A lot, unfortunately... 20. "Do you have any memorable places?" Disneyland is always fun. 21. "What is your favorite drink?" Ice coffee is SOOOO good. 22. "How good can you swim?" I can NOT drown. Is that good enough? 23. "How fast can you run in 50-meters?" Not a lot. I'm slow as a turtle. 24. "Are there any trends you're into?" Not really. I tend to wait these things out. 25. "What's your least favorite food?" ONIONS. I HATE ONIONS. HATE. 26. "What do you want most right now?" A new sketchbook. 27. "Are you afraid of heights?" I don't have to deal with this most of the time, but yes. I don't like heights. 28. "Are you scared of thunder?" I wasn't until I moved to the Mediterranean coast. I don't like thunder anymore. 29. "Sunny weather or rainy weather?" I like rain more. It gives me an excuse to stay inside. 30. "What writing tool do you use at school?" Old fashioned pencils, baby. 31. "What do you eat for breakfast?" Usually, all I have is coffee. 32. "Do you believe in ghosts?" Not really. 33. "Can you play any instruments?" I used to play piano, but I forgot. I can sing pretty well, though. 34. "Indoors or outdoors?" Indoors, all the way. 35. "Do you fight with your siblings?" Sometimes. Don't most people do that? 36. "Do you have a cell phone?" Yes. IT'S MINE. 37. "How long is your commute?" I have a taxi that takes about twenty minutes to half an hour to get to [NAME OF SCHOOL REDACTED.] 38. "Do you have enough friends?" I could always use a few more. 39. "What is your favorite sport?" I don't like sports. 40. "Can you cook?" I can bake a little. I'm still learning how to cook right. 41. "What's your favorite color?" Black. 42. "What do you think is most unforgivable?" People who force their opinions on others. 43. "How tall are you?" I guess...170 centimeters? So five and a half feet. 44. "Shoe size?" Big. 45. "What do want to do when you're older?" Be an author or a critic. 46. "What do you look for in a (wo)man?" Hopefully, someone who's nice and understanding. 47. "Are you bad with hot drinks?" Yep. I don't like having my tongue burned. 48. "Do you like bitter coffee?" I have to have sugar and milk with my cup o' joe. 49. "When do you go to bed?" Late. 50. "When do you wake up?" Earlier than I want to. Well, that's the first half. I'll post the second half next. |

And now, the second half.
51. "Do you sleep in a bed or a futon?" A bed. 52. "How well can you concentrate?" Depends on if I'm interested in it or not. Even then, I can get distracted easily... 53. "Any health advice?" Not really. 54. "Hot meals or cold meals?" Hot more often than cold. 55. "Which of your hands is dominant?" The right. 56. "Name something lucky that's happened to you." I met Dick van Dyke when I was in junior high. 57. "Something unlucky?" I fell in a fountain when I was in grade school. 58. "What's the name of your school anthem?" Dunno. 59. "What's your favorite flower?" I don't have one. 60. "What's your favorite idiom?" The road to hell is paved by good intentions. 61. "What's your favorite phrase?" Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result each time. 62. "What do you associate with spring most?" My birthday. 63. "Summer?" FREEDOM. 64. "Fall?" Cold weather. 65. "Winter?" Getting presents for Hannukah. 66. "Would you rather go to the past or future?" Going to the future causes less paradoxes. 67. "Manga or novels?" Manga. 68. "Do you have an allowance?" I want one. 69. "What do people say about you?" They say I'm good at lots of things, but sometimes I don't believe them... 70. "What are your hobbies?" Internet surfing, writing, watching anime and reading manga. 71. "How much do you weigh?" I don't know. More than average? 72. "Any certifications?" No. 73. "What do you wear when you go to bed?" Depends. 74. "Have you ever been asked out?" Not really. No. 75. "What would you do if the world ended tomorrow?" Panic. 76. "What's your daily routine like?" I always go online before leaving for the day. 77. "What do you always have on you?" My beloved cell phone. 78. "What sort of cuisine do you like?" Italian. 79. "How do you get to school?" I take a taxi. 80. "What's the last thing you do before going to bed?" Read. 81. "What's the first thing you do when you wake up?" Drink coffee. 82. "Where do you live right now?" An apartment in a Mediterranean city. 83. "What's it like?" Fine, I guess. I like the cats. 84. "What's the most interesting thing that's happened to you?" I've been to Jerusalem and Paris. 85. "What's the saddest thing that's happened to you?" A lot of things. I'd rather not talk about it... 86. "Do you like roller coasters?" I caaaaan't stannim. 87. "How's your eye sight?" Good. 88. "What's your favorite holiday?" My birthday, of course. 89. "Do you have any school positions?" Not at all. 90. "What do you do in your free time?" Go online, write, play with my cat. 91. "How long do you study each day?" Not a lot. 92. "Which of your friends can you rely on? Which of them rely on you?" I'm not very reliable. I rely more on my online friends... 93. "What do you do on school breaks?" NOTHING. It's great. 94. "What would you like to be reborn as?" A cat. Cats have it easy. 95. "What do you feel about the school rules?" They don't bother me that much. 96. "What do you eat for lunch?" My school has good schnitzel. 97. "How many friends do you have?" I don't know. I have a lot more on here than in reality, though. 98. "Do you take any detours on the way home?" I can't. 99. "Are you interested in any celebrities?" Notice me, Urobuchi-senpai. 100. "What did you think about this questionnaire?" It was pretty cool. Well, those are my thoughts. I hope you liked them. |

Hello everyone
Name: Ashleigh Sex: Female Location: England Marital Status: Single Age: 22 Ethnicity: 1/2 British English, 1/2 Egyptian. And then I think my Egyptian half is 1/4 Greek...? Not sure, though I mostly view myself as English. Religion: Agnostic Pets: One cat (who is very fat). Drink?: I enjoy a glass of wine now and then, but I can't stand any kind of beer. Smoke?: Nope! Likes: Anime (you don't say), films, literature, music, painting, poetry, theatre, the Mediterranean Sea, old architecture, European cities, scarves, ornate lampposts, fog, whales, airports, the number 9, purple, kind people, clever people, creative people. On the whole I love most forms of culture, though I struggle to feel anything towards contemporary modern art Dislikes: Cooked vegetables, very hot weather, most competitive sports, offices, fluorescent jackets, sexism, homophobia, heavy metal, politics, hats that could be mistaken for socks. Favourite Anime (series): Revolutionary Girl Utena (and everything else by the great Ikuhara), Princess Tutu, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Fate/Zero, Azumanga Daioh, Death Note. Favourite Anime (movies): Princess Mononoke, Only Yesterday, Milennium Actress, End of Evangelion, Angel's Egg, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, and the third Pokemon film (a childhood favourite!). Favourite Books: Jane Eyre, The Great Gatsby, the His Dark Materials trilogy (I need to read more). Favourite Videogames: Final Fantasy (IV, VI, VII and VIII are all great), The Legend of Zelda (Wind Waker + Majora's Mask are perfection), Super Mario Galaxy, Undertale, Portal, Mother 3. Oh, and the Pokemon rpgs, though it's hard to choose any one in particular. Favourite TV shows: I'm not much of a TV watcher, funnily enough - perhaps anime has replaced the need for TV in my life? When I was younger I mostly watched Top Gear, QI, Whose Line is it Anyway, David Attenborough documentaries, etc. Favourite Movies: A lot! Persona (the 1966 Bergman film, has nothing to do with the JRPG series), Star Wars, The Piano, The Spirit of the Beehive, Vertigo, Hiroshima mon Amour, Lord of the Rings, the Three Colours trilogy, Carol, Moonrise Kingdom, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Inside Out, Amadeus. Also, most everything by Studio Ghibli. Favourite Drink: Wine. Non-Alcoholic: Green tea with honey. Favourite Foods: Hard to say when you're on a diet Favourite Sports: Swimming, cycling and skiing are all OK, but it's been a while since I did any of them. Favourite Music: David Bowie, Björk, Radiohead, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Arcade Fire, Vampire Weekend, Jeff Buckley. Also a huge fan of classical music - my favourite composers are Debussy, Mozart and Tchaikovsky. Favourite Quotes: "I am no lover of difficulties." - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart "Even if the good old days never existed, the fact that we can conceive of such a world is an affirmation of the human spirit." - Orson Welles "There are four kinds of people in this world: people who like you for the wrong reasons; people who like you for the right reasons; people who dislike you for the wrong reasons; and people who dislike you for the right reasons. And it's only the last group you need to worry about." - Not sure who said this, but it's very useful! "Not being normal is what's normal for you!" - Wakaba, Revolutionary Girl Utena, episode 12 Last edited by Ammonite on Fri Mar 25, 2016 3:01 am; edited 1 time in total |

No-Rin BD+DVD
anime
Though it doesn't quite amount to much more than a fleeting good time, there's plenty of fanservice and a few decent jokes in this raunchy comedy.
― The basic premise – a city-bred idol retires to the country, where she gets indoctrinated into the ways of agriculture – seems ripe for all manner of “fish out of water” situations, and to an extent this 12 episode series from 2014 does use that approach...

Real Account GN 1
manga
Don't write this one off just because you're sick of "trapped in a game" stories - Real Account has some tricks up its sleeve that make it worth checking out.
― There comes a point in a genre when many consumers say “enough.” For the trapped-in-a-game genre, which is relatively young as these things go, that moment has been creeping up for many people, which may discourage them from picking up Okusho...
The List - 8 Dubious Anime Dub Opening Songs

UQ Holder! GN 4
manga
UQ Holder finally finds its feet in this volume, demonstrating far more drama, fun, and creativity than ever before.
― I knew this manga was worth believing in. In spite of its lackluster early volumes, I knew Akamatsu had it in him to make a truly satisfying shounen manga, one that demonstrated all the passion and creativity that occasionally glimmered through in Negima. It's taken a while, but UQ H...
