News New Jersey's AnimeNEXT to Host Fruits Basket/Kamisama Kiss Director Daichi

New Jersey-based anime convention AnimeNEXT announced on Wednesday that it will host director Akitaro Daichi as a guest of honor for its 2016 convention.
Daichi's directorial credits include Fruits Basket, Kodocha, Bokura ga Ita, Now and Then, Here and There, and Kamisama Kiss. He is also known for directing comedic anime shorts, such as Gag Manga Biyori, DD Fist of the North Star, and Tonkatsu DJ Agetarō.
Daichi previously visited AnimeNEXT in 2005.
AnimeNEXT 2016 will be held at the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey from June 10-12. Other guests include manga creator Rei Hiroe, singer-songwriter ZAQ, freelance animator Megumi Kouno, and Studio Trigger's Akira Amemiya, Shigeto Koyama, and Hiromi Wakabayashi.
