Surprised to see these starting so early. This show seems like my kind of stupid so hopefully it lives up to it's potential

Depends. Is this gonna be something like a mix of Daily Lives of High School Boys and Inou-Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de? If so, it might be silly enough to appeal to me; but, I'll give it a pass if it goes too heavily into Yaoi, or comes across like Meganebu!.

Is it just myself, or does Akoya's outfit and hair just happen to look similar to that of Utena Tenjou?

This could be really good if they either keep it as a comedy or try to play it 100% serious.
But I really fear that they'll try the dreaded 60% comedy 40% drama (moving more and more toward drama, finishing at 20% comedy 80% drama). I supposed it's possible that it's a BL anime, but I don't really get the feeling that it is. |

This will either be really good or really bad. I'm hoping they play it up for laughs and don't actually add in any bad drama.

I'm guessing forgettable. Not hating just saying. Impressive they could get funding for this. Anything is possible.

There aren't any women? Most magical girl anime get at least some male villains, and nowadays even male assistants.
@Oshawott - No, it's not just yourself. Maybe Utena's long-lost brother? Or a cosplayer. |

Isn't it obvious that this is going to be a parody? I mean, it has the director of Gintama and Daily Lives of High School Boys behind it. Albeit, a parody with the expressed intent of bending heteronormativity. Not just Magical Boys, but Magical Boys with a bit of BL flavoring? How rare is that? But sociological stuff aside, this looks genuinely funny; like, the last promo had a bunch of jokes about the fact that the whole team usually shows up at once, and the team has a comically ugly wombat. So it's pretty evident that this show already isn't taking itself seriously, in the best possible way. I'm just saying, there's no need to imply that it's dumb enough that you don't need to take it seriously when it's already not taking itself seriously, and it might be more comically clever than some are giving credit for right now.
