Aww, I did enjoy Tanaka-kun and Bakuon, so it's a shame to not see them on the list. Still, everything else I voted for got in, so at least I have that.

Except for Bakuon, every show I voted for got in, so that's pretty great. And it's a surprise The Asterisk War is still in, since it's hated by lots of people.
So when will the shorts write-up be released? I'm guessing sometime next week? |

Disappointed Super Lovers didn't get picked. I wanted to see someone obligated to write about that each week.

Was the assignment of shows to reviewers a similar process to eating at a buffet? It seems that two plates was enough to satisfy many diners, but the hungriest still had room for third helpings. "Well, I've got two under my belt so far, but I'm sure I can still squeeze in Re:Zero."
Schadenfreude is a vice most bewitching. Perhaps it is for the best that we were stopped from revelling in it. |

Disappointed Gabriella isn't part of the streaming reviews this season, since her reviews were always some of my favorites to read, regardless of how much I agreed with her. I wish her luck on her study abroad, though.
Also surprised Something Something Girls Online got in. I'm not sure how many people are legitimately interested in it and how many voted it in as a joke, considering the seeming reception to it in the preview guide (both from reviewers and forum commenters), but reviews should be interesting regardless. Other than that, everything I voted for got in except for Three Leaves, Three Colors. But considering the lack of interest those kinds of shows generally have in streaming reviews, I'm not too surprised or torn up about that. |

Question Rebecca Silverman is doing Magi: Adventure of Sinbad so does that mean that a company has the rights to it and if so who?

That show was always going to be one Theron wrote about. It's got bouncing tits, harem hijinks, a bland male lead, and practically everything I can imagine that Theron would enjoy. No brainer there. |

Damn, no Hundred. Well, everything else that I voted for got in, so I'm mostly satisfied.
I pity James for pulling Big Order though. The manga was an absolute farce of imbecilic leads and skullscraping harem romcom antics from a series desperately screaming TAKE ME SERIOUSLY, GAIZ. Who knows, maybe the anime will make substantial changes that redeem the whole thing. |

We're operating under the assumption that this will be released in the same way Magi was previously. If for whatever reason it isn't, we'll change our plans accordingly. |

Nick's reviewing it. Don't know about hate-reviewing it, I guess. |

Psycho-Pass 2 BD+DVD
anime
Nick Creamer details the many, many, many ways that this grim 'n gritty cyberpunk action sequel let down fans of the smash hit original series.
― The original Psycho-Pass was a real hit back when it premiered in 2012, one of the first hits in a long time for the once-renowned noitaminA anime block. The show was composed and partially written by Gen Urobuchi, a man who'd gained significant fame both i...

Shōwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjū
anime
Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju is one of the finest anime in years, though its personal drama may leave you a little cold.
― We don't often get shows like Rakugo Shinju. The show is a period drama inside a period drama, introducing us to Yotaro, a hopeful student of rakugo in the 1970s, before cutting back to tell the story of his master Yakumo, when he was a mere student known as Kikuhiko. It's a drama...

Evergreen GN 4
manga
Evergreen falters in its final volume in its handling of the "twist" that may have been one of the most poorly hidden secrets in recent manga.
― I'm fairly sure most of us saw this coming, whether we wanted to or not. The truth about Niki and Hotaka's relationship feels like it might have been the worst kept secret in the history of manga, though in truth that may simply be because it wasn't as well ...
