Hello Kitty Sold for $102,000

Diamond Encrusted, Platinum Figurine Sold
Earlier this year we reported on a 41mm-tall jewel encrusted "Queen Kitty" figurine created in celebration of the 30th Anniversary of Hello Kitty.

The figurine, with over 250 diamonds, was valued at 10.5-million yen at the time. The Mitsukoshi department store, which had the "Queen Kitty" on display in numerous of its store locations, announced that it had sold the figuring to an Osaka customer.
