only if people try to use this in the understanding of real life cause in real life there is zero chance anyone would survive a gunshot to the eye let alone the head at point blank range. also if the series had ended in that cliffhanger type ending in S1 , it would be completely half baked and incomplete. I for one didn't wanted to see another Tokko happening again. also cant be surprised the dub sound stilted. this is an aniplex dub here & like it or not when it comes to any series they decide to issue out an English dub (which in itself is very rarely unless its it have a ridiculous fanbase like the Fate franchise), their completely faithful to the japaneese scripts to the letter.it's not a US born company like funimation or viz where they would tinker with the script a little bit to make the English dub appeasing to the US audience. hell most of us are just greatful that aniplex even give A/Z an English dub to begin with and didn't give it the sub only treatment like with some of their other licenses. |

Btw, I think you can survive a gunshot to the eyeboll. If it doesnt hit the brain it should be fine. |

Its like a papercut! Maybe if you're lucky and there was no fragmenting of the bullet or the pressure of the bullet didn't damage surrounding tissue. I mean, yes you could survive, but that does not mean that you "should be fine". Facial nerve damage, drooping facial muscles, disfigurement and even if bullet doesn't pass through brain you could still have brain trauma. Just saying... |

This is... a pretty charitable review. The "power" of that first-cour ending was mostly undone for me with the fact that everyone got shot and no one died other than the one asshole who mostly existed to make Slaine look better.

One of my gag theories was that Inaho was a Cyborg from the beginning, so he just replaced part of his damaged CPU between seasons and continued on his quest to kill John Conner... I mean stop Slaine.

Did anyone actually believe that anyone died in the first ending? The first season made it extremely clear that every main character had night impenetrable plot armor. |

I thought there was chance the princess was dead, but not Inaho. Plot armor aside, if he dies there simply isn't anyone to replace his role in the series, and Slaine, despite his improvements in S2, isn't interesting enough to carry the rest of the series on his back. So simply from a writing stand point it would be stupid to kill off Inaho at that point. |

If they weren't going to commit to killing anyone off, then maybe they shouldn't have written the last episode of Season 1 so that everyone gets SHOT IN THE HEAD. I have to agree with the previous commenter... I simply could not watch Season 2 after episode 1 brought everyone back to life. It was too ridiculous. They could have done a cliffhanger in so many more believable ways. Gunshots to pretty much any other body part; vague "no one could have survived that!" explosion; falling off a cliff into water or something... Just. ANYTHING that could have made me say "well ok, I guess I can buy that." S2E1 just killed any sense of "high stakes" for any of the main characters. I just couldn't take the show seriously after that. (Yes, it took me that long.) |

lmao nice one, my gag theory is that he's actually jeremiah gottwald's (code geass) son, i mean his nickname was orange, surely that cant be a coincidence personally i enjoyed the second season especially the fact that slane has evolved into a character that his past self would have been disgusted with |

Aldnoah.Zero Part 3 Limited Edition
anime
Aldnoah.Zero's second season can't quite live up to the finale of the first, but it does use some interesting themes and references to build its story of an increasingly senseless war.
― In all honesty, the first twelve episodes of Aldnoah.Zero didn't really need a sequel. With their pointed conclusion they made a definitive statement about the follies of war while leaving viewers the space to fill i...

Answerman - Why Do So Many Anime Take Place in High School?
anime
It's an inevitable question: why are so many anime series set in and around high school, or star high-school age folks? Justin gets into it.
― Julian asks: After watching a lot of Anime, depending on the demographic, a good chunk of it tends to take place in a high school setting or the characters, while not always, range from the ages 14-17. This has led me to believe or assume writers of Anime or ...

Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam Blu-Ray
anime
The sequel series to the original Mobile Suit Gundam is a much darker look at the horrors of war, and now it's out on bluray in English! Our resident Gundam expert Lauren Orsini weighs in.
― Don't be fooled by the new name or the young new protagonist—Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam is a sequel series. Its many tie-ins to the One Year War at the center of Mobile Suit Gundam 0079 cement it as a follow-up to t...

My Little Monster GN 12
manga
There's one volume left, but the main story ends here in a book that is sweet, thoughtful, and thoroughly satisfying.
― Stable, happy couples don't tend to make for great reading, but they do provide excellent happy endings. Robico's My Little Monster has never fully promised us either of these things as it followed the rocky, awkward romance between emotionally wounded Haru and deliberately cold Shi...

Mystery anime is back in vogue lately, but the genre is famously underrepresented in the US. Here are six mystery anime that still need an official US release!

UQ Holder! GN 2
manga
UQ Holder maintains its polish and consistency, but has yet to truly find its voice in this second volume.
― In many ways, UQ Holder feels like the series Ken Akamatsu has been wanting to write for most of his career. His first major hit, Love Hina, started off as a traditional harem series, with serial failure Keitaro Urashima finding himself the manager of a lady's dorm and comedy predictably ensui...
