If I was there, I am one of those who would like a definitive answer of why NaruSaku didn't happen. Even if he planned NaruHina/SasuSaku, the character development of it was really lacking (something I've seen even people who are such shippers have acknowledged on forums).

Come off it already. There was no way in Hades Kishi was gonna pair up Naruto with one of the series' worst violent girls. I'm not sure how you like your relationships, but I'm pretty sure most guys wouldn't want a girl who's constantly punching him square in the face. Especially if the girl never liked him to begin with. |

Exactly. Expecting romance in a shounen manga is so pointless in my opinion, because there's a small chance of it actually happening. If you want to ship something so much, go read some shoujo or yaoi. |

Hey, just as NaruHina and SasuSaku are allowed to rant that their ships became canon, us NaruSaku shippers have are allowed to rant about why we felt Kishi made a big mistake in doing that.

How many Anime and Manga series over the years had a female protagonist just do that and end up with the male protagonist? I can name two off the back of my hands: Dragonball and Rurouni Kenshen. So you have no right to insult NaruSaku fans for being mislead for over a decade. Because Kishimoto kept up that narrative all the way until literally the final chapters (he even admitted it). Then he openly said that it was a Red Herring. So if you was in that position, I bet you would also want answers too.
So if people liked the idea of someone hooking up, they shouldn't be allowed to read Shonen? Good to know people have an open mind. |

SWAnimefan, thanks for defending me. The people who I see having their opinions perhaps more justly insulted are the NaruSasu fans.

Oh man, I feel sorry for Kishimoto, but it's always gold at these fan conventions when that one awkward, on-the-spectrum person decides to get up and ask some embarrassing question like this. The fact that you probably seriously expect him to address it is "lol" gold. Hell, you probably expect him to rewrite the ending in your sanitorium of delusion. It always reminds me of that Simpsons episode.

Goku didn't marry Bulma and Kaoru as far as I remember was never abusive to Kenshin.
This is in spite of the fact that he pretty much sunk the ship on two separate occasions and never raised it above water afterwards, along with the fact that Sakura getting badly hurt/killed wasn't what made Naruto lose his shit during the Pain fight. |

That's what's up, BadNewsBlues. Your words make sense. I, too, was also thinking the same thing about Chichi, Bulma, Goku, Kaoru and Kenshin. And I was definitely thinking about who it really was that made Naruto go ape shit crazy on Pain. When Hinata confessed to him in the heat of battle, Naruto felt something that day, but didn't know just what yet. |

No, it was Hinata getting hurt that made Naruto go into 6- & 8-tailed forms but that doesn't necessarily mean that it was because he was in love with Hinata.

Neither does a guy resigning himself to the knowledge that the girl he has a crush on will never reciprocate his feelings especially after asking her of her interest in another guy (despite already knowing that). Which is then followed up much later on by the same guy calling out said girl for pretending to not like the other guy anymore while also pretending to make a love confession to the guy who has/had a crush on her. Say or guarantee that those two will eventually get together. |

Outside of the shipping questions, I'd like to grill him on various plot hole questions.
