Relativity Revs ‘Autobahn’ For Fall; Bleecker Street Sets Dates For ‘I’ll See You In My Dreams’ & ‘Pawn Sacrifice’ – Update

UPDATED, 4:10 PM: Relativity said today that it will release the Joel Silver-produced action thriller Autobahn on October 30. To pay for his girlfriend Juliette’s (Felicity Jones) medical emergency while abroad, Casey (Nicholas Hoult) schemes to pull a drug heist for an eccentric gangster (Ben Kingsley). After a failed attempt, he embarks across Europe in a race against time to save Juliette from being taken by an evil druglord (Anthony Hopkins). Eran Creevy directed from a script he co-wrote with F. Scott Frazier. Relativity Studios acquired U.S. distribution rights from IM Global in November.

PREVIOUSLY, 2:24 PM: Bleecker Street acquired the Brett Haley-directed drama I’ll See You In My Dreams at Sundance, and now it has set a May 15 release for the pic. The company also said the chess drama Pawn Sacrifice, which it picked up in the first big deal made at Toronto last year, will hit theaters on September 18.

Blythe Danner, Martin Starr, Sam Elliott, Malin Akerman, June Squibb, Rhea Perlman and Mary Kay Place star in I’ll See You In My Dreams. Danner plays Carol, whose orderly life is disrupted by a sudden loss and she is propelled into the dating world for the first time in 20 years. Finally living in the present tense, she finds herself swept up in two unexpected relationships that challenge her assumptions about what it means to get old. The film was written by Brett Haley and Marc Basch and produced by Rebecca Green and Laura Smith.

Director Edward Zwick’s Pawn Sacrifice stars Tobey Maguire as American chess Grandmaster Bobby Fischer, who faces off against Russian rival, Boris Spassky (Liev Schreiber), in the “Match of the Century” in the 1972 World Chess Championship in Reykjavik. Steven Knight wrote the pic, which was produced by Zwick, Gail Katz and Maguire.
