Watch: Even More Celebrity Cameos Teased in 'Entourage' UK Trailer

Even though the HBO series Entourage was certainly popular while it was on, I'm actually not sure if it's as big in the United Kingdom as it was in the United States. Judging by this latest trailer from across the pond for the film adaptation of the show business series, I'm betting it's not, because Piers Morgan does a quick introduction as to who Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) and his crew are before we get into their usual shenanigans. There's not much new footage we have seen in the other trailers, but the list of cameos at the end is slightly different, pointing to some names that British fans will be interested in instead. Watch! Here's the latest UK trailer for Doug Ellin's Entourage from Warner Bros. UK: Watch the most recent Us trailer for Entourage right here. Entourage is written and directed by Doug Ellin, creator of the »

'Kingsman' Vixen Sofia Boutella Taking a Major Role in 'Star Trek 3'

Briefly: While we still don't know if Idris Elba will be taking the villain role in Star Trek 3, the sci-fi sequel has just gained another cool cast member instead. Deadline reports Sofia Boutella, the literally sharp assassin from this year's fun spy action adventure Kingsman: The Secret Service, is taking a lead role in Star Trek 3, scripted by Simon Pegg and Doug Jung, directed by Justin Lin and set to arrive July 8th, 2016. But much like everything else about the film, details on her character are being kept under wraps. She could make a great addition to the Enterprise, or she could be a killer secondary villain. Either option works. »

Warner Bros. Wants 'Furious 7' Director James Wan for 'Aquaman'

There's no doubt that Furious 7 was a hit around the world last weekend, and it's likely to take the top box office spot again this weekend too. And that means director James Wan is now a hot commodity in Hollywood, and now THR reports Warner Bros. is eager to snag him from Universal and get him behind the camera for Aquaman. There's no offer on the table yet, but Wan is the studio's top choice to direct the first big screen iteration of the aquatic superhero, and they're already had some early talks about the project. However, Universal holds an option to bring Wan back to direct Fast & Furious 8 if they were so inclined. Warner Bros. certainly seems keen on getting an early start on Aquaman even though the film isn't set for release until July 27th, 2018, so is there a chance they could be looking to bump up the release? »

Sony Pictures & Mrc Taking a Crack at Stephen King's 'Dark Tower'

It's been a long road to try to get Stephen King's The Dark Tower novel series to the big screen. Both Universal Pictures and Warner Bros. passed on an ambitious film and television deal that would have brought the western horror and fantasy series to life. Last we heard anything about the project over a year ago, Aaron Paul mentioned he had several meetings to take a role in the film while it was being developed by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer at Imagine Entertainment. Now Deadline reports there's hope for the film again as Sony Pictures and Media Rights Capital have agreed to con-finance the first film in the series. The first film will be based on the first book in the series, The Gunslinger, which focuses on the relationship between the title gunman, Roland Deschains, and a boy named Jake Chambers who joins the mysterious man on »

Julianne Moore Asks 'Can You Ever Forgive Me' for Fox Searchlight

Fresh off winning an Oscar for her stirring performance in Still Alice, the wonderful Julianne Moore has lined up her next project. Variety reports the Boogie Nights star is in talks to lead Can You Ever Forgive Me, an adaptation of Lee Israel's 2008 memoir of the same name that's set up at Fox Searchlight. The story certainly sounds different as it follows Israel's real-life exploits as a respected biographer who fell on hard times and began creating counterfeit letters "written" by deceased authors and celebrities in order to sell them just so she could pay her rent. However, the forgeries raised some eyebrows, so she changed her game. Israel decided to steal the actual letters from library archives and sell them through an ex-con she met at a bar, all while the FBI is getting close to tracking her down. Enough Said director Nicole Holofcener will write and direct the film, »

Brent Spiner Confirmed to Somehow Return in 'Independence Day 2'

It looks like Jeff Goldblum and Vivica A. Fox won't be the only returning original cast members from Independence Day who come back for the sequel from director Roland Emmerich. The filmmaker took to Twitter to reveal that Brent Spiner will be back for Independence Day 2. In the original film, Spiner played Dr. Brackish Okun, one of the scientists who worked on the secret government program studying aliens before the invasion happened in Independence Day. He was a weird guy, and we would have thought that he died after his encounter with one of the aliens in the first film, but apparently he's alive and kicking. Here's the tweets in question from Roland Emmerich and Brent Spiner with the news: This just in... @JoeyKingActress and @BrentSpiner officially signed for #IndependenceDay - Welcome aboard!— Roland Emmerich (@rolandemmerich) April 9, 2015 Never release me. https://t.co/I3ims9itVz— Brent Spiner (@BrentSpiner) April 10, 2015 However, »

Pictures, they've officially joined one of those projects. Deadline reports Lord & Miller will be writing the treatment for The Flash, the super speedy character who currently has his own television series on The CW. Jared Leto Hides as The Joker in Latest 'Suicide Squad' Tease Photo

9 April 2015 9:11 PM, PDT

Hahaha! Oh, how David Ayer teases. The next photo from Suicide Squad has appeared on Ayer's Twitter, following the group shot of the cast yesterday. It addresses the question of "where is Jared Leto?" The actor was noticeably absent from a cast shot that included everyone else, from Will Smith to Margot Robbie to Joel Kinnaman to Viola Davis. The new photo shows Jared Leto, with short green hair preparing to play The Joker, hiding behind half a camera. At what first seems like a bad shot, is actually a reference to the cover of the acclaimed Joker graphic novel The Killing Joke, written by Alan Moore & Brian Bolland. Nice one, Ayer. It's a cool shot, I just wish we'd get more than this tease and the hair shot from before. In time... Here's the new shot posted, referencing the question of where he is with the tag "#WhereIsJared"? First Look at the Yellowjacket Outfit from Marvel's 'Ant-Man' Movie

9 April 2015 5:04 PM, PDT

Marvel is kicking things up a notch with Avengers 2 just a few weeks away. Up next is a first look at the villain Yellowjacket, the first real photo of him in costume, from the Ant-Man movie directed by Peyton Reed starring Paul Rudd as Hank Pym. This is likely from the next trailer, and just being revealed as a single shot now, but take a look anyway. Yellowjacket is the name of the suit that Darren Cross (played by Corey Stoll) wears when he becomes a villain, with the suit giving him super powers. "Hank Pym's Ant-Man suit doesn’t have a single weapon," director Peyton Reed told EW. Adding, "whereas Yellowjacket is armed with plasma cannons." Looks like at least two of them sticking up like stingers behind his shoulders in this photo. Here's the preview of Yellowjacket from Marvel's Ant-Man movie, originally via EW.com: See the original concept art for Yellowjacket here, »

'Transformers' Producer & Mark Millar Set to Adapt 'Jupiter's Legacy'

9 April 2015 4:40 PM, PDT

Following the arrival of Kingsman: The Secret Service earlier this year, comic writer Mark Millar also had his time traveling adventure comic book series Chrononauts picked up for a feature film. And now yet another of Millar's titles will be heading to the big screen. THR reports the sci-fi comic Jupiter's Legacy will head to the big screen as Millar has decided to team with Transformers and G.I. Joe franchise producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura to adapt the comic into a feature film. And as with pretty much all of the comic writer's properties, the idea sounds pretty damn fantastic, focusing on the lazy offspring of superheroes. The story follows the next generation of superheroes who simply haven't lived up to the standards created by their iconic parents, who obtained their superpowers in the 1920s after they discovered a mysterious island. Millar described the comic last year, "We have the »

Ryan Gosling Heads Back to Disney for del Toro's 'Haunted Mansion'

9 April 2015 4:16 PM, PDT

Like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake, Oscar-nominated actor Ryan Gosling got his start on Disney's "The Mickey Mouse Club" as a child star. Since then, he's become quite the heartthrob and an amazing talent on the big screen, and now he's headed back to the House of Mouse. The Wrap reports Gosling is currently in talks to take a role in Guillermo del Toro's long developing adaptation of Haunted Mansion, the classic Disney theme park attraction. The project has been in the works for years ever since del Toro made the announcement at Comic-Con back in 2010. Can it finally come together soon? There's no timetable for the project, but if the studio is starting to round up a cast, then it might be closer to getting in front of cameras than we thought. There's no word on what role Gosling would take, or even what the story »

Jennifer Garner & Robbie Amell Joining Kevin Spacey in 'Nine Lives'

9 April 2015 2:57 PM, PDT

Just after hearing that Christopher Walken would work with Kevin Spacey for the first time in the comedy Nine Lives, the cast has just gained two more members. TheWrap and Deadline have two separate reports saying that Jennifer Garner and Robbie Amell both have roles in the goofy-sounding film from director Barry Sonnenfeld that follows Spacey as a workaholic businessman looking for redemption himself after an accident leaves him trapped in the body of his family’s cat. As we've noted, this sounds plain silly, but with Europa Corp. involved, we're not sure what to expect, especially with this kind of cast aboard. Read on! Garner has been pretty busy the past couple years with films like Dallas Buyers Club, Men Women & Children and Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, but the premise for Nine Lives seems to call back to her work in films like »

Reese Witherspoon & Sofia Vergara Run in 'Hot Pursuit' UK Trailer

9 April 2015 12:37 PM, PDT

"I'm totally crushing it as a dude." Following the first mildly amusing trailer for Hot Pursuit, our friends from across the pond have just gotten a new trailer for the comedy starring Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara in what's basically their own version of Midnight Run meets The Heat. There's a bunch more new footage in this UK trailer that we didn't see in the Us trailer, including new stuff with comedian Jim Gaffigan. Plus, there's a scene where Witherspoon has to dress up like a man, and ends up looking like Justin Bieber. I feel like this just might be a little too silly, but it doesn't look downright terrible. Watch? Here's the new UK trailer for Anne Fletcher's Hot Pursuit from Warner Bros. UK: You can still watch the first trailer for Hot Pursuit right here. 9 April 2015 12:02 PM, PDT

Briefly: This isn't the most exciting or revealing news, but it is an important industry update worth noting. The Academy is pulling a Marvel and announcing the next three dates for the upcoming Academy Awards ceremonies. AMPAS has locked down these dates at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood for the next three years: Sunday, February 28th, 2016; then Sunday, February 26th, 2017; and finally Sunday, March 4th, 2018. So there you have it, that's when we'll be celebrating the Oscars for the next three years. Even if you don't like them, or pretend not to care about them, the Academy Awards still remain the pinnacle award in filmmaking and it will always be a prestigious event.
