speed pizza tasting taste in london

London sure loves a good pop-up these days. Whether you want to learn how to tie dye, eat some tattooed food or buy an arty map of London, this week’s tip-top pop-ups have got it covered.

EAT PIZZA

Pizza Speed Tasting
Taste in London has obliterated that awful ‘argh which pizza shall I go for?!’ moment when you’re out for a meal. How? By giving you all 15 on their menu! Blind taste 15 different pizzas at this doughy speed tasting event, and then after you’ve washed it down with some vino (and enjoyed a bit of cake) you’ll find out about the pizzas you ate. They will vary from home-made creations to supermarket buys so it’s a great way to find out if you’re a proper crispy Italian fan or whether you’re quite happy with Sainsbury’s stodge.
£25, Friday July 18, 8pm-11pm, Victoria Park, E9 7DE.

PARK UP AT AN OUTDOOR CINEMA

Drive in Film Club
Drive in and tune in to this week’s mix of classic films as the Drive in Film Club launches for the summer. There’s a ‘Grease’ singalong on Wednesday, ‘The Italian Job’ on Thursday, ‘Fast and Furious’ on Friday and newbie ‘Her’ will be shown on Saturday. Waiters will serve up hot dogs, burgers and Californian-style burritos so you can get those seats reclined in front of the big screen.
£22 per car, July 16-October 31, Brent Cross shopping centre, NW4 3FP.

Otzi Opening-2

EAT TATTOOED FOOD

Ötzi
Explore ingestion and the history of signs at Ötzi, a ritualistic four course banquet. It’s an immersive eating experience involving tattooed food, performance and darkness. An evening where artist, chef and designer join forces to feed diners with science, visual literature, history, theatre and, of course, food.
£50, July 17, 8pm, The Belfry, St John on Bethnal Green, E2 9PA.
