London Design Festival pick of the day: mind the wrap at this Tube-themed café

TfL and Camden Town Brewery

Avoid the Tube’s less appealing points (dirty seats, stuffy air, closing doors) and immerse yourself in its classic design and colour scheme at this London Underground-themed pop-up café. Camden Town Brewery and TfL have joined forces to bring the West End craft beer in station-like surroundings: a luxury that hasn’t been enjoyed since 2008′s pre-booze ban party on the circle line. The tiles on the bar, manufactured by Fired Earth, are exact replicas of Underground heritage station tiles and the seats are inspired by real Tube moquette designs. Beer tasting sessions are organised from 4-5pm from Wednesday to Friday – and you don’t need to worry about missing your stop. Visit the café at Design Junction, The Sorting Office, 21-31 New Oxford St, WC1A 1BA. Open 18-22 September. Find more events taking place as part of London Design Festival.
