Mingle with the Hoi Polloi at Ace Hotel’s new restaurant
‘Hoi polloi’ means ‘the many’ in Ancient Greek (you knew that, right?) and it’s also the name of a stylish new brasserie in the equally stylish new Ace Hotel in Shoreditch (the London outpost of the eminently fashionable Ace in NYC). The decor is lovely in a Scandi-retro way, the staff really know their stuff, and the team behind the restaurant have form with Bethnal Green trendsetter Bistrotheque, so the signs are good. The food is British and ultra-seasonal – but will it be a hit with the many?
