Chris Bracey God's Own Junk Yard

If you’ve been meaning to go to Walthamstow to visit artist Chris Bracey’s neon mecca Gods Own Junkyard, we recommend you do it this Saturday July 12 when not only will you be able to ogle his fantastic collection of neons, but you’ll also be treated to a mini beer and gin festival with a Cuban flavour. The Ravenswood E17 Social Club have joined forces with Chris to put on a series of gigs, the first of which is happening this weekend as they welcome Javier Zalba, from the Buena Vista Social Club, plus blues band Fragile Souls and singer Rasp Thorne to the bright lights of Walthamstow.

If the music isn’t enough to tempt you to E17, there will also be food trucks, craft beer from local brewery Wild Card Brewery, sloe and damson gins, fruity liqueurs and cocktails from gin masters, Mother’s Ruin. The music will be happening from 2-8pm and then the party will move to The Blitz Factory event space nearby to stop drunken revellers wrecking the precious neon. Oh and it’s all FREE! Happy days.
