The weekend is approaching. How should you spend your time? Sit and read a book? See how many cartwheels you can do before Monday morning? Learn to weld? NO. Those are all terrible ideas, as they don’t involve going clubbing, which is what the weekend is all about, when it comes down to it. So put down that welding mask and take your pick from the list of top-notch club nights and daytime parties below.

FRIDAY
We Love Bush: Kate Bush

Remember the fuss over Kate Bush tickets? Just in case you’d forgotten what was probably a miserable failure to acquire tickets, this full-on-fun club night is here to give you another big taste of Bush. You can hear songs from KB as well as tunes inspired by the great lady, as DJ Gonzo Steele and Hitman Hearn spin the sounds. There’ll also be performance from Darlinda Just Darlinda and Fancy Chance, possibly based around Kate’s frolicking in the ‘Wuthering Heights’ video, as well as prizes for those who love Bush the hardest, including rewards for the best costumes. Basically, it’s in-your-face Bush, all night long. And with a recording career as prolific and illustrious as KB’s, there’ll be more than enough Bush for everyone to enjoy.

SATURDAY
Numbers x Dance Mania (Jackmaster’s XOYO Residency Series)

Reps from highly influential Chicago ghetto house and booty techno label Dance Mania head to London to go up against progressive Glasgow label Numbers, as part of Jackmaster’s residency at Shoreditch club XOYO. Joining Jack in Room One are Paul Johnson and Parris Mitchell from Dance Mania, and Spencer from Numbers, while in Room Two, garage experimentalist and bassy house badass Deadboy hosts a dancehall mash-up.

Regulate Summer Session

Go get your head regulated at Hackney Wick’s iCan Studios at this ace daytime party. Dirtybird’s booty-house-slinging pro Justin Martin leads the charge, with a set that’s bound to cause a fair bit of bouncing around. Dream-house duo Maribou State and fellow Dirtybird disciple J.Phlip bring further funky goodness to the table, alongside sets from Eli & Fur, Jack Swift and more. Expect plenty of house, bass, warehouse techno and more ultimately danceable sounds.

SUNDAY
Half Baked and Concrete present DJ QU + Ultrakurt

London promo crew Half Baked team up with Parisian club Concrete for an epic Sunday daytime session that’s worth scrapping your Saturday night plans for. The star of the show is US deep house heavyweight DJ QU, who channels the spirit of Classic Chicago house and mixes it with techier influences, making for an intoxicating sound. Flying the flag for Paris is Ultrakurt, a master of funky, minimal house. Football fans are also catered for here, with the World Cup final being screened during the party.
