This geezer’s been drawing all over London Wall – and this weekend you can, too
Anyone walking past the Museum of London today may have spotted what seemed like a bold act of vandalism – street artist John Dolan scrawling a depiction of the London skyline over its walls in black ink. But nope – the artist’s renegade scribbling is in preparation for the museum’s family-friendly The City We Live In festival this weekend (Sat May 24 and Sun May 25), and it’s all legal, we promise. What’s more, you can get involved with Dolan’s huge artwork (the piece is 70 metres long) – willing volunteers are invited to help muck in to finish the piece off over the weekend as part of the fest. Battersea Power Station, London Bridge and the Globe are among landmarks that brush-wielding city-dwellers will be helping bring to life. Dolan’s work is inspired by his experience of living on the streets with his dog George (who’ll also be sniffing around on the weekend, but presumably not helping with the paint). Flo Wales Bonner
