Overview
Set right on the water’s edge, the restaurant is an idyllic place to while away a meal or some coffee and cake. One hour north of Auckland and just ten minutes off the beaten track from Warkworth or Matakana Village, Cafe Sandspit is the perfect place to unwind.
Now under new management, Cafe Sandspit has a rejuvenated all day menu and a great selection of breakfasts to 11.30. We are child friendly at Cafe Sandspit and all dishes on these menus can be served in kids portions, as well as smaller servings our older customers on request.
With summer on its way, the restaurant is now open for a la carte evening dining, please contact us for reservations and opening times.
We welcome group bookings and with Christmas round the corner please don’t hesitate to get in touch to enquire about your Christmas party. We offer venue hire for all your special occasions.

This restaurant has recently changed hands. The new owner is a chef and the food is wonderful. My wife and I each had different meals.. They were well presented, delightfully cooked and reasonably priced. The service was great and the views marvellous. We can thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
