This simple recipe celebrates big, fat, ripe tomatoes.

For 6 people as a snack

• 1 French stick
• 3 cloves of garlic, peeled
• 3 juicy, ripe tomatoes
• Olive oil
• Salt and pepper
• Slice the bread crossways, about 2 cm thick.
• Toast.


1. Cut the garlic cloves in half and rub into the bread.

2. Slice the tomatoes into slices and rub the juices into the toast.

3. Drizzle with olive oil.

4. Season with salt and pepper.
