Channels with verified names

Verification badges help visually confirm the authenticity of a YouTube channel. When you find the badge of a channel for a popular celebrity or business, you can be sure that the channel actually belongs to them. The verification tick only appears to the right of the channel name, and "Verified" appears in a pop-up if you hover your cursor over it.

How do I get a verified name for my channel?

YouTube channels get the verified name tick if they are linked to a verified Google+ page or profile. Learn more about linking your Channel with a Google identity.

Verification for Google+ is available to a wide range of businesses and organisations, with some requirements for eligibility:

  • Your Google+ page must be authorised by your commercial entity, organisation, brand or product.
  • Your Google+ page must contain a link to your organisation’s website. Your organisation's website must be connected to your Google+ page, by adding the Google+ badge or by adding a snippet of code.
  • Your Google+ page must already have a meaningful number of followers.

If you have a YouTube partner manager, contact them to request name verification.
