Shortly after clearing the scene of a serious crash on the Brynderwyn Hill police are again attending a crash in the same vicinity about 6.50pm today.
This is a 2 car crash blocking one lane of SH1. Only minor injuries reported.
Contractors are en-route to clear a fuel spill.
Police remind drivers of the need to drive to the conditions and slow down in heavy rain.
At About 5pm Emergency Services were at the scene of a serious two car collision on State Highway One on the south side of the Brynderwyn Hill.
Three people were injured, two seriously. SH1 was closed in both directions and diversions were in place.
The Northland Serious Crash unit will be investigating the crash
