The key role of Regional UNDG Teams (formerly known as “Regional Directors Teams”) is to provide leadership, strategic guidance and support to Resident Coordinators (RCs) and UN Country Teams (UNCTs) for the achievement of country level results. The Regional UNDG Teams’ core functions are focused on the provision of coherent and timely technical support to RCs and UNCTs; quality assurance of UNDAFs/UN Programme through the QSA mechanism, performance management through the RC/UNCT Performance Appraisal system and “trouble shooting” in challenging country situations.
