MayDay is Coastguard's annual appeal raising much-needed money for our vital volunteer training programme. The focus of the appeal again this year is "Train One, Save Many." By training one volunteer, many lives will be saved. Coastguard volunteers will bring around 7,100 people back to safety this year but they need the help of Kiwis to make that happen.

Coastguard is asking New Zealanders to support the MayDay appeal.
