The Court Theatre’s Mikado, a quirky, exciting, visually gorgeous romp, brings Gilbert and Sullivan’s comic opera into the present day. Nanki-Poo falls heavily for the beautiful Yum-Yum, but she is set to marry the Lord High Executioner. The Executioner, desperate to find someone to behead before the Mikado arrives, agrees to let Nanki-Poo marry his bride with the proviso he be executed after a month of marriage.
