Re: WHY WON'T COMPUTER WORK WITH TV, SON?
Hey dad, I know you've been complaining about how complicated your cable TV situation is, so I got you this SiliconDust HDHomeRun Prime bundle to help you out. It lets you watch your cable on any of the screens in your house, including your TVs but also your computer and tablet.
I'm attaching a 55-page, annotated how-to guide to take you through every step of the process (Chapter 1: What's a computer?), but I thought I'd give you a quick overview of what the HDHomeRun can and cannot do:

It can: connect directly through your Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3. Those are the boxy things I left behind last time I was home.
It cannot: help you get mom back.
