Two special ladies to be remembered at 10k race

Cathy O’Brien

IT'S the final call for those interested in giving the Duleek Cystic Fibrosis 10k a go this Sunday at 2 p.m.

Runners, walkers and joggers are all welcome to come along and the event will remember Cathy O' Brien and Kelley Noone and all Cystic Fibrosis loved ones.

The Drogheda Branch of Cystic Fibrosis, Cathy and Kelley's families, cousins and wide circle of friends, all came together to organise the event and hundreds have all signed up for the big day.

While it is a fundraiser, the event is also to raise awareness of Cystic Fibrosis and to help fund the new specialized isolation unit in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda.

For safety reasons, the 10k is for over 16s only and no buggies or dogs are allowed. Refreshments after wards at O'Neills Main Street Duleek.
