Arrests after man found unconscious

Two men have been arrested and charged after an altercation that left a man unconscious on the side of the road in the Kaimai Range. A 24-year-old Hamilton man and a 22-year-old Te Puke man allegedly got into a fight with a 40-year-old Western Bay man at the top of the Kaimai Range about 8pm last night. The 40-year-old man was found unconscious on the side of State Highway 29 near Valley View Rd and was taken to hospital. His car was found in rural Matamata.
