Tractor rescue underway in Northland

Tractor rescue underway in Northland

A rescue is underway in Northland after a tractor went down a bank near Maungaturoto. An Auckland fire communications spokesman said emergency services were alerted at 6.51pm. The tractor driver was being treated by ambulance staff and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter had been sent to assist. Fire crews were working to winch up the tractor. The driver's injuries were not known. An ambulance spokesman said a crew was on scene but no other information was available yet.
