//: INTERNATIONAL AWARD FOR NZ HERALD ONLINE
APN Digital New Zealand were recognised last week for their outstanding work in digital publishing at the WAN-IFRA (World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers) 2012 Digital Media Awards, for the Asia Pacific region.
The NZ Herald won Silver in the Best in Online Media - Newspaper website category for the second time, previous Silver won in 2010, and was the only publisher in New Zealand to receive an award.
The award submission highlighted the homepage redesign, our extensive, interactive coverage of the 2012 Olympics and 2011 Elections and our adoption of the Windows 8 platform.
Judges’ noted the NZ Herald website as an outstanding site and their comments reflected NZ Herald’s pro-active approach to meeting user expectations and innovative adoption of the Windows 8 platform.
