Join NZ Herald Online this Wednesday for the fourth annual Taite Music Prize, streamed live and in full from Auckland's Galatos Live, thanks to NZOnAir.

Seven albums are up for the $10,000 cash prize - awarded to recognise outstanding originality, creativity, and musicianship - including @Peace's and Home Brew's self-titled albums, Aaradhna's Treble & Reverb, Collapsing Cities' Strangers Again, Lawrence Arabia's The Sparrow, Opossom's Electric Hawaii and SJD's Elastic Wasteland.

Also on the night the self-titled debut album by noisy Kiwi rock pioneers The Gordons will receive the inaugural Independent Music NZ Classic Record Award.

In addition to the awards - named in memory of the original and well respected music journalist Dylan Taite - the stream will featuring comment and interviews from guests and finalists, and performances by previous finalists Street Chant and Julia Deans.
