Description: World Teachers’ Day is held annually on October 5th. You are invited on October 6th to participate in the colloquium where you can learn about on-line forms of English language teachers’ cooperation, global trends in the teaching of English, and discuss issues that are important for Russian and foreign colleagues. This will be a roundtable discussion event.

AMC patrons listening attentively

04.10.2012 | Moscow (AMC) | AMC Acting/Improv Club

On Wednesday, October 3rd we had the second meeting of the Acting/Improv Club skillfully led by the AMC director, Kore Gleason. 20 AMC patrons and visitors enjoyed participating in numerous exciting activities, this time concentrating on the voice. Our guests had a lot of fun while exploring the power of sounds, making odd and funny noise, yelling at the wall and imitating the sound of the sea waves.

The first round of the exchange program for high school students FLEX will take place in Yekaterinburg very soon. American Center hosted a presentation of the program for students and their parents.

04.10.2012 | Moscow (AMC) | Teacher 2 Teacher Workshop: US Elections

On the 3rd of October The American Center was pleased to have Toni Hull, Senior English Language Fellow, teaching a workshop on the US Elections. During the seminar English language teachers and AMC patrons had a chance to learn more about the voting process, the Electoral College, debates, ballots and much more, and how this information can be used in the classrooms.
