You can purchase a Membership for yourself or as a gift, and as a Member, you will be immediately eligible to receive your 10% Member discount. To receive your Member discount, simply register with The Met Store and enter your Membership number on the Billing Address page. Then each time you sign in to shop with us, the purchase price you see will automatically reflect your 10% discount. If you have recently become a Member and have already registered with us, you can add your Membership number to your profile at any time by signing into My Account. Please note that Memberships are nonrefundable.

Special Offers and Promotions

Special pricing offers are noted on our product pages. For products that advertise a discount when buying a specific number of items (such as for a set of four mugs), you must add the correct quantity to your shopping bag to receive the discount. If you purchase additional units above the discounted quantity, you will be charged the individual item price for those items. We also offer quantity discounts on two or more of the same item for select products. To take advantage of these offers, add the desired quantity to your basket in multiples of two. For odd-numbered quantities, the discount will be applied on the first two items and you will be charged the individual item price for the third.

The Mix & Match online set offer can only be applied to two of the following categories within a single order: holiday cards, 2012 calendars, birthday calendars, notecards, and correspondence cards. To take advantage of the Mix & Match offer in more than two categories, please place a second order. The discount will be taken on the lowest priced item. Available online only.

If you have received a promotion code via email from The Met Store, our catalogue, or elsewhere online, simply enter the code during checkout on the Order Review page, and your savings will appear. Please note that promotion codes are case-sensitive and four characters in length (example H459). Only one code can be entered per order, codes cannot be applied to prior purchases, minimum order total requirements (excluding tax, shipping /handling, and gift wrap charges) must be met for each order, and the code must not be expired.

Dollar or percent off discounts do not apply to the purchase of Museum Memberships, eGift Certificates, or donations, and cannot be combined with other offers or discounts, except a Member discount. A promotion discount cannot be used on initial Membership orders.

Unless otherwise noted, promotion codes for discounted or free shipping are valid for standard shipping only and do not apply to express or priority delivery. Discounted or free standard shipping is available only to shipping addresses within the contiguous 48 United States, Hawaii, Alaska, and all US territories. Orders shipping to APO/FPO and to all other countries will incur shipping charges. Discounted or free shipping promotions cannot be combined with other offers or discounts, except a Member discount.

For gift with purchase promotions, you must add the free gift item to your shopping bag, then enter the promotion code at checkout. Please note that free gifts will be available while supplies last; comparable items may be substituted. Gift with purchase promotions cannot be combined with other offers or discounts, except a Member discount.

Tax Information

There is no tax on the purchase of Memberships, donations, or eGift Certificates. Applicable sales tax will be added for shipments to NJ and NY, including all delivery charges and gift wrap.

For orders shipped to Oklahoma, we, the non-collecting retailer, are not required to and do not collect Oklahoma sales or use tax; such a purchase is subject to Oklahoma sales and use tax unless specifically exempt. A purchase is not exempt merely because it was conducted over the Internet or remotely. Oklahoma purchasers must report and then pay tax on purchases that were not taxed. The tax may be reported and paid on the Oklahoma individual income tax return [Form 511] or by filing a consumer use tax return [Form 21-1].
