Why should I register?
By registering for a free account, you will gain access to special features such as restaurant listing ratings and reviews, real estate listings email alerts and saved searches and more on nymag.com. Please review our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy if you are concerned about entering your personal information.

How do I register?
You can register for an account by filling out all the required fields on the registration form and clicking on the “submit” button on the bottom of the form.

You will receive an email from nymag.com containing instructions and a clickable link to confirm your account. Once confirmed, you will be able to access features that require log in.

How do I log on?
Once you have registered and confirmed your account, just enter your email address and password on our log on page. You can also access this page through the “Log In” link located in the upper right corner of every page.

I’ve forgotten my password. What can I do?
If you have forgotten your password, click here to have your password sent to your email or to reset your password. If you reset your password, you will need to reconfirm your account.

What is a “Secret Question”?
The “Secret Question” is a required field on our registration form. By selecting a secret question and an answer, you will be able to reset your password if you accidentally forget it. Please ensure that you choose a question and answer combination that is easy for you to remember but hard for others to guess.

What is the “Remember Me” feature?
For your convenience, we’ve provided a “Remember Me” feature that keeps your ID and basic account settings active on your browser through a persistent cookie until you explicitly sign out by clicking on the “log out" link. We will still ask for your password to access personal information after you close your browser or after a period of inactivity on the site.

This feature is only recommended if you are the sole user of a computer. If you share a computer or are using a public computer, do not check this option.

Why do we need your email address?
We need your email address in order to contact you if you forget your password, send newsletters that you’ve signed up for and to send you real estate email alerts that you've signed up for. Please see our Privacy Policy for more information.
