DOCO support to Coordination Officers

DOCO supports countries through Geographical Focal Points (GFPs). GFPs are usually professional category staff with the required language skills to serve as part-time desk officers for a number of countries in a certain region or sub-region. They usually serve as a first point of reference for all technical requests concerning UN coordination and reform. GFPs help to make sure DOCO provides quick and authoritative advice to Resident Coordinators and UN Country Teams.
