DSRSG/RC/HC Retreat 2008 - 5-7 May 2008

DGO is organizing, with the support of OCHA and the Swiss government, a DSRSG/RC/HC retreat during 7-8 May 2008 in Montreux, Switzerland, immediately following the Humanitarian Coordinators Retreat. The DSRSG/RC/HCs will be joined by senior officials from UN Headquarters, including DPKO, DFS, DSS, DPA, OCHA, UNDP, and DGO.

The objectives of the retreat are to: promote peer exchange and knowledge sharing of new developments in humanitarian action and recovery assistance within the context of integrated missions; identify issues, challenges, best practices and recommendations for strengthened coordination; and identify support required for DSRSG/RC/HCs to perform their roles more effectively.
