DOCO supports countries through Geographical Focal Points or GFPs. GFPs are usually professional category staff with the required language skills to serve as part-time desk officers for a number of countries in a certain region or sub-region. They usually serve as a first point of reference for all technical requests concerning UN coordination and reform. GFPs help to make sure DOCO provides quick and authoritative advice to RCs and UNCTs.
