Nobody Broke Anything During Last Night’s Spider-Man’s Performance

Nobody Broke Anything During Last Night’s Spider-Man’s Performance

In its first run-through since actor Christopher Tierney was hurt and new safety protocols were implemented, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark went off swimmingly. Excellent! Also of note: Producer Michael Cohl addressed the audience before the show, and explained that Tierney had undergone surgery and would begin rehabilitation on Monday. Plus, the Times got these awesome quotes from a random, representative tourist: "I was sort of expecting it to be ‘Spider-Man’ as we’ve all come to know the comic-book story, but the show had these wild, mythological, psychosexual dramatic layers that I loved ... I’m not really sure what was going on in parts, but I was totally impressed.” [ArtsBeat/NYT]
