It’s been a while since we looked at the sky and actually saw real birds. It seems like all winged creatures have been reduced to a blue chubby digital one. Similarly, telling a joke these days consists of sending friends a link to a hilarious YouTube video, and our new concept of “mayor” is even more unstable than in real politics. We are so glued to our screens that without anyone realizing it, web browsers have become our new celebrities. We hate them. We love them. We define ourselves by them. We read about their shenanigans in the press. And mostly, we can’t stop staring at them.
To make it easier for you to decide to which browser you relate and which one rocks your world, we give this funny (and not to be taken too seriously) info-graphic!
This great inforgraphic was created by Shane Snow, a New York based artist and founder of Printing Choice

Samual Jackson is waaay too GOOD for Safari.. that tells you something. Maybe use Paris Hilton for Safari.
I do agree with the IE celebs. Because it’s pre-installed I try to give it a chance but it never gets better.
Firefox works just fine for me. Have all the add-ons you need. A darker theme and it’s all good. Serves its purpose effectively.
Seriously, Netscape. What did happen to it?
Tried Opera and Chrome, and like its celeb representative – overrated.
Safari – not everywhere.
“Seriously, Netscape. What did happen to it?”
…Netscape was re-born as “Firefox”…it’s the same codebase. People still think “Netscape died”…it didn’t. Especially with the FOXSCAPE theme, it will never die. AOL just owns the trademark on “Netscape” so they can’t call it that.
Hey!
Don’t disrespect…
Walter Mathau!
(you thought i was gonna say Opera)
Opera is my own favourite … though the last couple of versions {slightly but bearably} break a couple of my favourite websites.
What about the new RockMelt browser? I’m currently using their beta, very nice!
I saw this one but kinda looks like a pedophile stalker browser since its wrapped in facebook and twitter stuff which definately makes it a saftey hazard browser. I’d give it a try if they dump the social networking crap from it.
Lol I would have to agree the writer doesn’t seem to know much about browsers or browser usage. Firefox is my favorite do all browser with opera and Opera mini close second. i did love netscape and still have it on my machines for fun. Safari everywhere? Really where as said most mac user don’t use it, it doesn’t work well, unreliable, slow and all around useless. I’d say Internet Explorer is more like Obama…spends tons of money without concern making huge promises it fails to delivery well the entire time looking like a fool. Safari well thats easy its like Steve Jobs…it wants t be cool, it wants to do a bunch of things but it doesn’t play well with the rest of the world is very yuppie in appearence and basically is a failure that will never admit it sucks lol
Oh and I fogot Chrome is like Kanye West always yelling about something but itsself is a whole lot of nothing and ugly lol
Opera ftw!!
The comparison even on IE were stupid, I use Chrome because of its great extensions, but I wanted to Safari and Opera(few extensions), they are the bleeding-edge browser and more robust!!
Safari reliable? Everywhere? Every time I wanted to access several websites, I had to open Firefox to view them with all intended design and functionality. They just didn’t work otherwise.
> Safari seems to be everywhere. What a lie.
+1
Opera is not stupid pretty girl. Opera rather is your good old school teacher: she has been learning all others right things for many years, but everyone is doing in his own manner. And when one get overloaded with mistakes he remember: “Oh, yeah, my teacher told me!”
You’re still an ignorant asshole for disrespecting Opera like that.
Gotta angrily disagree with Opera. My browser. That comparison just isn’t funny because it doesn’t come close to the grain of truth that comedy needs.
Looks pretty? Hell to the yes, but that’s where the comparison ends. Doesn’t factor in anything else.
I’ve used Opera for the last 2 years without running an anti-virus, firewall, anti-anything security program on my computer, and with Opera I routinely browse the most questionable corners of the internet. To this day I have not been infected with a single virus, infection, whatever. Why? Because Opera doesn’t get hacked, exploited, or undermined by vulnerabilities. Hackers don’t target it’s small user base because it’s not profitable.
Opera’s true celeb? Christian Bale. Always reliable and looks good in all of his roles.
So Opera also beats its mother as well? o.o
Safari seems to be everywhere. What a lie.
Was the graphic made by a Mac user by any chance?
Well, it seems to be everywhere, just as Notepad seems to be everywhere you got Microsoft.
Opera is the best by far
Definitely. I don’t know how this infographic can only say it looks good, it freaken rocks. Firefox gives me a headache.
Betcha this was made by a Mac user.
Yeah, for sure. Nobody else would say Safari seems to be everywhere. I hardly even see Mac users use it.
