Emma Watson is continuing to help women struggling in poor countries...one fashion line at a time.

The Brown University student revealed last week that she received a special message from famed fashion designer Alberta Ferretti. "She wrote to me and said, 'I saw what you did with People Tree and I think it's a great idea and will you do something with me?'" Emma stated.

Like Alberta Ferretti, you also love what Emma has done with People Tree, a fair trade company. That means their clothing comes from under-developed countries and they pay extra to help women support themselves and overcome poverty.

"Not only do these women have jobs, but they're earning the same amount as men -- there is gender equality," Emma has said in support of fair trade. "Then there is the day care center, and also a domestic violence program for the women who are being abused...you're essentially giving these people the opportunity to help themselves out of poverty and that's all they really want."

In June, one reader told us, "It's so awesome that her clothing is good for the environment AND helps out those who need it. If only we could get all the other designers to do that."

The wait for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is almost over -- it premieres tonight at midnight. Emma Watson was lucky enough to see the movie early (and so have we!) and she tweeted about her new obsession.

"Saw DH Part 1 over the weekend. It's absolutely amazing, I am so proud and pleased. Can't wait for you all to see it! See you Thursday x," Emma told her followers.

Co-star Tom Felton is psyched for the upcoming premiere of the movie but does tweet that he's "already dreading the heavy rain predicted for Thursday! A potter premiere with horrendous weather comes hand in hand it seems!!" Yipes. Remember Emma's dress snafu during the premiere of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince?

On November 8, Emma Watson tweeted, "Premiere outfits - done! X" The young fashion icon didn't reveal any other clues about her fab choices, but we knew she'd be stunning when she finally walked the red carpet at the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows premiere in London's famed Leicester Square.

Were we right? Of course. Emma wore a short black cap sleeve dress, with floral peek-a-boo lace and a feathered bottom. As for the college student's elfin haircut, she chopped off her locks as a way to express her new life post Harry Potter. While playing Hermione, Emma was under strict orders not to drastically change her appearance.

In the United States, the legal drinking age is 21, but in other countries like England and Spain, you can drink alcohol at age 18. Recently, 20-year-old Emma Watson spoke about the subject, saying that even though she's of legal drinking age in the UK, she didn't drink while she attended her freshman year at Brown University.

"There's no point getting drunk when you've got 10 hours on set the next day," she told Vogue UK. "And I didn't drink last year at Brown, either, because I was underage in America and it would have been disrespectful."

Even though Emma Watson is a record-breaking earner, she didn't realize how big her fortune was until just three years ago. As a 17-year-old, she was getting $75 a week in allowance, totally oblivious to how much she really had in the bank.

Although her wildly successful Harry Potter films have helped her estimated net worth rise to $32 million, Emma didn't have a clue about her earnings until she had a financial talk with her dad. Now, at age 20, the British beauty says she was shocked to learn about her fortune.

Oversized sweats and sneakers may be a staple on most college campuses, but the chill wear isn't for this Brown undergrad. Emma Watson has been named the most stylish British female by Glamour UK.

The mag raves, "From Hermione in Hogwarts robes to the face of Burberry Prorsum, Emma Watson's rise and rise to style fame has been an interesting one. Granted that the star commits a fair few faux pas in the style department, she is the golden girl in the front row at [London Fashion Week] and has re-ignited our love of the classic trench."

We agree...but for different reasons. For us, Emma Watson represents a new generation of fashionistas. She's taken her love of fabulous clothing and merged that with her desire to make the world a better place.

While taking a break from studying, Emma -- who collaborated with People Tree to design her own clothing line -- visited Bangladesh and spent time in the slums of Dhaka. There she saw women stuck in poverty and living in horrid conditions. Next she visited a community that operates under People Tree's notion of fair trade.
